WWW followers Jess (cake designer extraordinaire at One Part Love Bakery) and James are here to share their sweet micro winter wonderland barn wedding. Oh yes! Their day was held 6 days before Christmas and it was just magical!
Jess and James actually had two weddings and I am thrilled to be sharing their first day today (their second wedding will be featured on WWW next week!). Due to the restrictions at the time, they had a legal intimate ceremony for 13. Their Christmas wedding was so romantic, with, of course, the most amazing wedding cakes.
Then there was the festive Christmas tree, special wedding favours, cosy lighting and divine winter wedding flowers. I am sure you’ll be left feeling all the festive vibes thanks to their special wedding ceremony.
WWW wedding supplier fave, Thyme Lane Photography shot their whole day in all its glory. Thanks so much to Noemi for sharing these totally spectacular images with us.
On a walk in the Cotswold countryside – our favourite place.
We had a ceremony in 2020 due to James’ dad’s Alzheimer’s. We had to postpone 3 times but we didn’t want Covid to take the opportunity of having James’ dad there from us so we organised it in 28 days weeks before the Christmas lockdown.
It was wonderful, special and we had James’ dad part of the day. However, we missed all our friends and family and never got the ‘party and fun’ element that weddings are supposed to have because it was shadowed by covid, lockdowns, mask wearing, rules, family bubbles.
To make up for missing out having all our friends on our wedding day, we arranged a big party in May 2021 so we could all celebrate together.
We will be going on an American road trip at the start of 2023 through California.
Take a moment to look around the room during your meal and take in all the smiles, happiness and chatter going on.
Absorb and appreciate being there and everything coming together. You will feel like the luckiest people on the earth to have everyone there.
So so romantic.
Jess and James, I can’t thank you enough for sharing your very special winter wonderland barn wedding story with us. I can’t wait to share your second wedding next week! Eeek!
