And just like that it was February! January flew for me, but perhaps that was because I had impending surgery on the 31st, of course it would fly round seeing as I was dreading it 😂. So on Friday I had my dental surgery; a gum graft and as I type I lay in bed feeling worse for wear trying to keep up with my to do list. Thank you for your patience if I have been a little slower than usual in respond times.
So just what did I get up to in January? Apart from my pre surgery anxiety we had a pretty good start to 2020. We have been busy finishing off the downstairs shower room. It’s now fully plumbed, decorated and the extractor fan is in. Now we just need to get the finishing touches, perhaps a pretty print for the wall, a mirror and some storage. I can’t wait to have it all complete. Next on the agenda is our kitchen extension which is going to be a whole other ball game!
We’ve also been looking at changing my car, I’ve had my car for 5.5 years and it’s really done us really well. I can’t believe my little W was just a tiny baby when we picked it up. However I think its time we update it before more maintenance is needed and it would be super nice to have a car that warms up quickly. I hate being cold! Any family car recommendations? We are thinking of making a switch from SUV to estate… I’d love to hear your thoughts.
Another thing I really need to get sorted is our holiday plans for the year, I was hoping I’d have sorted it by now. Alas I’ve not had a couple of evenings free to properly scour the internet! We are thinking of Cornwall as our destination this year, I’ve never visited but have heard such wonderful things about Cornwall. But where to visit? There is so much loveliness to discover. I definitely want to pay a visit to the Eden Project though.
The week before last consisted of perhaps one of my greatest achievements in beating anxiety. I went to the O2 to watch my little boy participate in Young Voices. It was amazing watching over 8000 kids singing together and I couldn’t have been happier to have made it there, especially after I backed out at the last minute last year. It was my first ever big concert and I feel like going has opened up new doors for me for the future. If I knew I could do this even a year ago, let alone ten years ago I’d never have believed it. Never give up on your dreams guys!
