I have to say I am feeling a tad jealous this week of all the sun drenched, pool side holiday snaps I am seeing on my social feeds. You may have seen my Instagram Stories last week where I touched upon my anxiety battle and our cancelled wedding. It’s an ongoing battle of keeping my head above water so to speak and on my bucket list is to one day be able to get back on a plane and head overseas. It’s been 10 years since I last managed this, but oh how I yearn to explore new places. I have in recent years managed to finally get away on holiday in the UK though and we have a week booked away in August. So I hope that it lives up to the boys expectations and they have a lovely time beside the seaside. It can’t come soon enough hehe! Although when we head off, the builders will be in ripping apart our bathroom and bedroom to create our master suite of dreams and the new family bathroom. I have a feeling it will be taking far longer than the week mind due.
I’ve been making a real effort to keep busy to stop my mind wandering this week. It’s been hard recently for me, and if I am honest I have been struggling with feeling down about the blip of anxiety I seem to have been suffering with this year. So I’ve taken the boys off to our fave woods, for a shopping trip, including a lunch time cafe treat and to the park. Distraction generally seems to be the key for me. With Father’s day on Sunday, I have treated G and myself to a spa evening on Thursday, which we cannot wait for. Then the weekend will be filled with fun, my bestie’s tropical hen do and my mum’s birthday too. Phew!
In the world of weddings, it’s been another busy week. I have been making plans for some exciting developments over the coming months and we’ve had some utterly brilliant suppliers signing up to our very own wedding directory, the Supplier Love pages. Have you popped over recently? You’re going to love all the wedding talent over there folks.

Red Brick Barn
It’s been a busy year at The Green Cornwall. Over the last 12 months, we have been converting an old barn to create a fantastic new function room.
This April, the Red Brick Barn opened its doors and our brides and grooms have been reaping the benefits of this fabulous new function space.
It’s hard to believe that our Red Brick Barn was once a cow shed. The red brick walls and original beams have been lovingly retained but the rest is pure sparkle and glamour complete with a well stocked bar serving local produce, disco ball and high tech sound system. The front of the barn has floor to ceiling bi-fold doors that open fully to views over Kit Hill and distant Dartmoor. The outside is clad in oak and there is oak flooring throughout.
