It’s been a while since our last Wednesday Wedding Wonders, what with the Easter holidays and our busy schedule. It’s lovely to be back for a quick catch up and there is a lot to catch up on.
The Easter school holidays brought with it a work trip for my husband G, cue much juggling and a holiday camp for my two boys A and W. Luckily they loved it and seeing as it was so hectic, we both decided to take a much needed family hiatus for the rest of the Easter break. The weather certainly played ball didn’t it? We really made the most of it with our garden projects (removing a large amount of hedge dividing our garden), a couple of lovely days out and a family roast dinner at ours on Easter Sunday. It was really nice to have proper quality time together as the beginning of the year slid by in a blur of work and school.
It worked so well that I am attempting to nail down my schedule for the May half term break to make the most of having my boys off school, so that I can spend lots of time with them. Both of them are about to hit major milestones, W is starting reception in September and A is moving up to middle school. So I am super conscious of how precious the time I am spending with them is right now.
Last weekend I celebrated my 33rd birthday with a pub breakfast with my fab family and we had a Christening to attend in the afternoon, which was really lovely. On Sunday we took the boys to a tobogganing experience at the Milton Keynes snow dome and they really loved it. It’s bank holiday central this time of year, which I am not complaining about. So I am looking forward to the three day weekend with my boys. But the agenda is gardening, or well, more like landscaping! We still haven’t dug out our raised vegetable patches, and we are attempting it this weekend. I think we’re a little late, but hopefully our chosen veggies can catch up if we look after them really well.
In other news I just have to shout out about Game of Thrones this week. Oh my! It was spectacular, tense and at times hard to watch. We ended up watching Thronecast to digest it all and I am so excited for the next episode even more now.
