Wedding Tales ~ Everyone’s Wedding Story

 Afternoon :-)

I have a great new concept to share with you today, allowing you to gather all of your family and friends images they have taken from your wedding. Into one place, where you can share and keep all the images together…. isn’t it fab!? Not only that but it is great value for money. I leave you with the fab Wedding Tales boys to explain more…

{w} Hi Oli, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?

I’m Oli and I built weddingtales.co.uk along with my friend James (little know fact, we were born on the same day, 4 years apart).  WeddingTales is a simple service that makes it really easy for all the guests at a wedding to upload and share their photos of the big day privately and securely. We send all the original full sizes images to the happy couple on DVD to keep forever.

{w} Can’t you use Facebook/Flickr/Picassa to do this for free?

It’s definitely possible, but it’s not easy. All of these services tend to have one feature missing that would make it difficult. You either have to have all the guests “be friends” already, or the pictures are compressed and so not suitable for prints, or you can’t easily get them all out again. Weddingtales aims to be small but perfect, we only do what is necessary, but we do it really well, and nothing is missing.

{w} What do you love/dislike about your job?

I love being able to react to feedback really quickly. Because we’ve only been around a few months we get lots of little bits of feedback from brides and guests about how to improve the service, and being a small company we can react to them.

On days like this (it’s blindingly lovely outside) I love not being stuck in the office in a suit and tie anymore, but dislike that it’s actually impossible to work outside.

{w} How did you come up with your business concept?

Between James and I we went to 10 weddings in 2010 (we’re just that age) and after nearly every one somebody asked us how to gather in all the photos their guests took. There just didn’t seem to be a good solution out there, so we built it.

{w} What do you aim to achieve for your clients?

Make sure they get all the photos of their day to have and to hold forever. Lots of the pictures we gather it just would never have been seen by the couple otherwise.

{w} Could you tell us some information about your packages/prices?

We have one package which is £39.99 and can be bought for yourself or as a wedding gift. That includes unlimited storage, unlimited guests and 3 months online. After 3 months we’ll send all the pictures on DVD to you. We may introduce other packages later this year.

{w} Do you have any tips for couples in selecting online wedding suppliers?

Hmm, in our area that is a difficult one. If you’re buying online services you should be looking for a site that feels professional, clean and neat. You shouldn’t see any errors anywhere and the pages shouldn’t feel cluttered of too “salesy”. It’s really difficult to judge how well coded a service might be.

{w} How can we get in touch with you?

Thanks so much Oli … do go and check out their fab website now :-) xoxo
