We’re total suckers for Shutter Go Click Photography and their unique, creative photography, so we’re thrilled to be featuring their images today; thank you Ryan. There are some darn right beautiful photographs here, which totally and utterly capture the essence of this couple and their natural wedding.
WWW readers Charlotte and Jonty were hitched on the 16th June 2017 at The Crab & Lobster in North Yorkshire. The venue is super quirky, filled with antiques and props, which provided the perfect backdrop to their relaxed celebrations. Ensuring their personalities were evident through their wedding was important to them both, so Glastonbury festival featured in the décor, as it’s where the couple got engaged.
Now let me get on to the dress. It’s all kinds of fabulous! After spotting a frock on Pinterest Charlotte headed to Katya Katya Shehurina and had her tiered lace and tulle dress custom made. A straightforward process seeing as it’s the only shop she visited. Quite frankly I think she looked absolutely gorgeous! Jonty really looked very smart in his navy suit, tan shoes and burgundy tie, while the bridesmaids were rocking earthy boho style dresses. Oh my! Enjoy.
THE PROPOSAL | 25th June at Glastonbury 2015.
THE VISION | To create a unique and personal wedding that captured our personalities and created a relaxed environment.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | Planning took place over the two years from engagement to the wedding. It was very relaxed. We enjoyed every minute of planning and preparing for our day. Some aspects, such as table decorations, were handmade and created to suit our vision.
THE VENUE | The Crab & Lobster, Asenby, North Yorkshire. This was the only venue we went to see and we fell in love with it as soon as we got there. I had seen it previously on the internet and it just complimented our day perfectly.
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | My dress was from a London boutique called Katya Katya Shehurina. It was a custom-made creation. This was one of the first things I decided on!
FINDING THE DRESS | I saw a dress by the same designer on Pinterest and booked an appointment straight away. It was the only shop I went to and it was perfect.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Jonty’s suit was bought from Moss Bros, which was a navy suit with a burgundy coloured tie chosen by him! We hired navy suits from Debenhams in the end for the Ushers to match Jonty’s suit. They were exactly how we had imagined. We didn’t want the traditional wedding attire.
THE READINGS & MUSIC | The reading during the ceremony was lyrics to The Cure-Friday I’m in love, as this band were headlining Leeds Festival the year we met. We created our own playlist for the ceremony and reception. This was compiled of our favourite songs. We also had a jazz trio playing during our wedding breakfast.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | Our bridesmaids were my sister, my best friend, my sister-in-law and Jonty’s nieces.
THE FLOWERS | The flowers were from Michelle’s Flowers in Pontefract, an excellent recommendation from a friend. We wanted wild flowers and for them to look natural and informal.
THE CAKE | The cake was made by a friend of ours, Sally. Again, we just wanted this to be natural and delicate looking.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Ryan from Shutter Go Click Photography was amazing. He is so unique and innovative. His personality had us in fits of laughter all day long. The photos were more than we ever dreamed of. He captured our day so perfectly, complementing the style and day with such ease.
We also had two Videographers, Penny and Ed from Silver Sixpence Films. They have previously worked with our photographer so complimented each other perfectly. Again, they captured every little detail, causing for a very emotional viewing!!
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | We wanted natural, festival inspired day. The venue is already decorated with quirky antiques and props that meant that we just needed to add our finishing touches! Our table names were after Glastonbury stages, which is our happy place. A lot of our inspiration came from Pinterest!
THE HONEYMOON | Yet to book! Hoping to go next year.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The first dance. We chose Travis-Flowers as our first song. This is a very special song to us. The lyrics and memories of this song made for a very special moment.
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Set aside some time during the day to spend with your partner. It is over before you know it! You spend so much time having photos and talking to guests, you forget that it is YOUR day!
