Did you hear already? Pantone have released their colour of the year! After the roaring success of ‘Greenery’ in 2017, we’re super excited to see a brand new hue for 2018.
Ultra Violet is their colour of choice and we’re smitten with the intergalactic, space age, futuristic vibes. We think the tone will compliment weddings perfectly and add a cool edge to nuptials in the new year. So we couldn’t wait to pull together some of our fave violet, purple and lilac hues to inspire those of you considering an Ultra Violet wedding. After all more tones I think are better than one for a multidimensional style and a touch of cool, laid back atmosphere.

Adding a pop of colour to your suit with suave violet accessories such as ties, bow ties, buttonholes, pocket squares or even shoes will really tie together a violet theme. You could even go all out with a purple jacket or chinos too. Very dapper.
Why not go for a tonal bridesmaid look for your wedding party. Mix lilac, purple and violet with blue and coordinating blooms for a dreamy, ethereal style for your fave girls.
There are a plethora of flowers available in purple. So the Ultra Violet trend works so well in floral arrangements, think lavender, roses, iris, allium, anemone, cosmos, aster, hydrangea and much more. Speak to your florist about the loveliest blooms in violet.
Are we going to see a move away from the naked cake this coming season? Perhaps an injection of vibrant purple in your iced creation, tired cake, cupcakes or desserts will add an element of fun style. Scrumptious!
So there we have it, there so many ways to add Ultra Violet to your wedding. I am positively brimming with excitement to see how you will be using the hue in your weddings. YAY xo Lou
