Imagine just the two of you, madly in love, setting off on the adventure of a lifetime. To elope is perhaps one of the most romantic things ever? Am I right or am I right? If you are thinking of eloping then this stunning UK boho elopement inspiration is sure to leave you feeling very excited.
Today’s creative team (with photos by Jenny Appleton and concept and styling by ZAZ Events) really pulled out all the stops for this bohemian editorial. A perfect picnic set up was created in the middle of the Peak District National Park; Surprise View to be precise. The scenery was magnificent and was enhanced by the gorgeous décor, stationery, cakes and styling. I just adore the bride’s beaded gown, the striking bouquet and all of the little touches included throughout. Wow!

UK Boho Elopement
Wild Elopement to Surprise View
We love the rebellious and romantic nature of an elopement, and we couldn’t think of a more wild and deserted place to elope to than the beautiful and aptly named Surprise View in the Derbyshire Peak District National Park.
Yes, 2020 was a strange old year. We never expected a global pandemic to stop us dead in our tracks that’s for sure! However, lots of couples fought back and went ahead with their nuptials anyway and what better way to do it than run off with your soul mate to a romantic setting.
The Peak District is just perfect for an elopement, a stunning skyline, lots of cool edges, trees a plenty and cosy corners in amongst the huge boulders for you and your partner for life to snuggle up and plan your future adventures together.
This elopement shoot was the brainchild of the brilliant Zayna of ZAZ events. She was both stylist and co-ordinator along with her husband and business partner Az. Their ethos is all about creating magical memories and experiences that their couples will never forget and when planning this elopement, they certainly did that. The rain may have poured and the wind may have been unforgiving at times but that did not stop the fun, the romantic setting, and it certainly didn’t stop the wonderful memories.
To complement the fabulous landscape and blend in with the natural beauty of the surroundings Zayna carefully chose a gorgeous neutral colour palette. This elopement was at one with nature and the feel was certainly in keeping with that, but it also had a rebellious edge. After all if you run to the hills to get married you are definitely breaking with tradition and we love that.
A fabulous Bohemian vibe ran throughout the whole shoot. From the neutral colours scheme with it’s subtle gold accents to the gorgeous wooden plates and natural linen napkins. It oozed paired back cool boho but with a luxurious feel. Handmade stationery from Rock Paper Nib was a striking addition to the table and we loved the gold cutlery that tied in beautifully to the laid back luxurious vibe.
Although the wind and drizzle were a constant for most of the day, our newlyweds were able to snuggle beautifully in between the boulders where their wedding feast was arranged. The low table and seating gave superb cover and did not spoil the enjoyment of the delicious grazing table.
The fabulous dress by Along Came Eve Bridal was just stunning with it’s show stopping beaded sleeves but pared back styling it was the perfect outfit for our rebellious runaway bride.
Speaking of our bride, she wore the most beautiful jewellery by Bish Bosh Becca and looked absolutely stunning. Her beautiful natural look was created by the Cheshire Makeup Company who also styled her skilfully tousled hair.
The Flower Decorative made a stunning dried flower bouquet which was perfectly Bohemian and a little rebellious too, there was nothing traditional about this styling.
Urban Cakehouse designed a beautifully textured two-tier cake. Nice and small but plenty to share with a select number of friends and family afterwards. It was rugged like the landscape with layers of different textures and that luxurious hint of gold within the neutral earthy colours. It was finished with rice paper decorations for an ethereal feel, the cake needed to look as windswept are the beautifully rugged surroundings. Hand painted macarons in complimentary colours were a great accompaniment to the cake and could be saved as favours for friends who weren’t at the ceremony.
The talented Rhymes For Times created a bespoke poem especially for our newlyweds and hearing this read out loud was a very poignant moment in the intimate celebrations.
Thankfully the super talented Jenny Appleton Photo and Film was on hand to capture the whole elopement experience so lets look at some more of her work and enjoy this wild elopement.
