Spring weddings are always amongst my faves. I just love the season, with it’s delicate sunshine and pretty seasonal blooms galore. There really isn’t much not to love. And so here we have Curtis and Katrina’s beautiful wedding story, they were married on the 19th April 2018 at Trevenna Barns in Cornwall. A relaxed, rustic, elegant and fun country wedding was order of the day, which was totally achieved if the fantastic images by Wild Tide Weddings are anything to go by and we are so grateful to be sharing these amazing photographs with you today. I am also thrilled to see that WWW Supplier Love members Motion Farm Wedding Films captured their day on film. The end result is just magical, you can view the video at the bottom of the feature.
I really adore so many elements of their celebrations; the stylish outfit choices, the pretty peach florals and the rustic wooden decorations to name a few. Giant helium balloons are used throughout to really great effect, both in the couple portraits and in the reception room. Guests were also treated to live music, caricatures and lawn games, which really made the most of the glorious weather. I have a feeling you are going to just love this delightful wedding celebration.
Curtis proposed to me on the 22nd of December, knowing Christmas is my favourite time of year. He took me away for a couple of nights to Tregothnan Sheperd’s Hut looking over Fal Estuary. In the evening he set up lots of little tealight candles outside playing a song we both love whilst waiting out on a mini bridge feature just outside. He was holding a Christmas bauble open which had a wooden heart inside with the words: Katrina will you marry me?
We wanted an exclusive peaceful countryside venue where our guests could stay to make the day really last. Food was really important to us too! The mixture of Cornish and Italian food styles suited us perfectly. The outdoor arbour really swayed our decision though, which our florist decorated beautifully. We were so lucky and happy that we were able to have an outdoor wedding on such a beautiful sunny day! In terms of decoration we wanted a rustic but also elegant look with lots of Foliages. The colours we chose included Greens, Corals, Peaches, Whites and Rose Gold. We also had giant White balloons with greenery garlands placed at the ends of the tables to add some fun to the occasion.
We mainly used the internet to plan everything. To look for venues, entertainment and decoration. Pinterest was brilliant, so many lovely ideas to choose from!

My Italian family travelling over just for our wedding. Full wedding party conga was so much fun! Best Man/Groom’s speech. My dad walking me down the aisle.
Do a little bit each day and have fun! Be thoughtful, your guests will definitely appreciate this and it will make your day that little bit more special when you see how much fun everyone else is having too. A videographer is something I am so glad we decided to have too – we weren’t going to initially but it lets you relive your day and also captures all the moments you don’t see on the day. We loved ours!
