Showtime Photo Booth. In The Hotseat.


The photo booth has become a party must have. The ultimate selfie machine, creating the perfect celebration atmosphere amongst your guests.

This afternoon I introduce you to London and Birmingham based Showtime Photo Booth who have a super stylish booth ready and waiting for your wedding reception.


Hi Monica, could you firstly tell WWW readers a little bit about you?


I’m Monica from Showtime Photo Booth.  I have two white cats that make wearing anything black really difficult, and can never stop doing things for long enough to let my nail polish dry properly.



What do you love/dislike about your job?


I love meeting and talking to people, and due to the nature of the job I go to a lot of fun events – not just weddings, but all kinds of parties and corporate experientials, and the people you meet at these kinds of things are almost always happy!  It’s lovely to work in a positive environment all the time, and actually be a part of creating that atmosphere.



How did you get into the wedding industry?


We had seen the concept of a party photo booth a few years ago while in the USA at a corporate event, and fell in love with the idea of bringing our own spin on it to the UK.  Initially, the majority of our clients were corporate, but we branched out into weddings after a friend asked if they could have our booth at their wedding, and it was a huge success!  Their guests loved it and the couple had an amazing collection of pictures of their friends and family all relaxed and being silly to look back on.



What do you aim to achieve for your clients?


In the simplest of terms, our product is about making memories, so our aim is to make sure the memories we help create are good ones.  We work with our clients and couples to really make sure we feel part of their team, and are committed to pulling through under any circumstances to make their event special.

What style is Your booth?


Our photo booth in its usual setup is an elegantly styled and decked out piece of kit.  Your guests pile in (I think the most we’ve had in it is 10, but it was a bit of a squeeze!) and take a picture of themselves – it sounds so simple, but it creates a space at your event where people can relax and have fun, because they are in control of the camera and the surroundings – and then we have a huge box of props, so they can dress up, leave you video messages and make awesomely silly poses.  You get as many printouts as you like and digital copies to take home, so they make for a fun and unique guest-book.

We can change the colours on the booth and even put a custom skin on it if a wedding or event has a particular theme, so we can fit in anywhere!



Could you tell us some information about your packages/prices?


Photo booth hire starts at £600, which gets you the booth itself, unlimited printing, props, one of our popular exterior skins and a USB stick of all the pictures – along with our team, who will deliver, set up and take down, and a uniformed attendant who will be with the booth and help your guests take the best photos and have a great time.

There are a few optional extras that can be added – we don’t have tiered packages, so you can just pick what you like!  We can do a green screen background, an online gallery and social media integration via our ipad kiosk, a custom designed and printed exterior skin, video messaging and a guest book designed to fit our prints.

We can also provide fun snack items to keep your guests energised throughout your events – our couples love the French macaron pyramid and enormous chocolate fountain, but we have plenty of other things – just ask!



Do you have any tips for couples in selecting their wedding suppliers?


I have a fairly simple rule that many people forget or compromise on in the quest to find the absolute perfect product or the perfect price – you will always have a better time if you actually like and get on with your suppliers – do business with the people, not the product.  When you are organising an event like a wedding, it’s so important to feel like everyone handling logistics is on the same team, and one grumpy photographer or easily stressed caterer can make it feel like a chore at best, or a nightmare at worst.
