This darling day has a touch of magic, thanks to it’s stunning venue and super gorgeous bride and groom. I have a feeling you are really going to adore this set of images by Kazooieloki Photography today too. Pure class!
WWW readers Jenny and Tamlin tied the knot on the 17th June 2017 at Deepdale Farm. The setting was really very remarkable, beautiful countryside surroundings and a barn to end all barns. The doors open wide to flood in the light and the ceilings seem to go on for miles. It must have been so atmospheric during their ceremony, which was led by Jenny’s sister and Tamlin’s grandfather. They also had a hand fasting against their beautifully fabric adorned archway. Picture perfect.
I am also not sure if you’ll believe me when I tell you that they kept to a tight budget of £5500 for the whole affair. Isn’t that just remarkable? Considering the ever so stylish outfits, ample blooms and gorgeous décor. Amazing! Enjoy this wedding in full lovely readers…
THE PROPOSAL | 02.06.17 in the Canadian Rockies after canoeing across a lake.
THE VISION | Rustic, relaxed, outdoors wedding.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | Planning the wedding was fairly easy, as soon as you have sorted your venue you will easily think of a theme and then be able to start to buy and make decorations.
BUDGET | In the end it was about £5500 but we were trying to keep it to £5000.
THE VENUE | Deepdale Farm, Keldholme.
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Sophia Tolli.
FINDING THE DRESS | Try lots of local shops and if you are tight on budget, think about buying second hand dresses, which is what I did – Wedding Belles & Beaus, York.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Rented from Moss Bros.
THE READINGS & MUSIC | I carry your heart – E. E. Cummings, various passages and quotes from Rumi and Kahlil Gibran.
BEAUTIFUL BRIDESMAIDS | My sister and my two best friends and former roommates!
THE FLOWERS | A local florist – Busy Liz’s Floral Design in Keldholme. We wanted lilac and peach colours to match the groomsmen.
THE CAKE | A family friend make the cake for us. It was just a simple lemon sponge cake with butter icing and then added extra details like a cake topper and some ivy.
YOUR PHOTOGRAPHER | Kazooieloki – Richard and Christine.
THE DETAILS & DÉCOR | A lot of it we made ourselves and had some long evenings painting signs, making a guest book, writing our own place cards and ordering second hand wedding supplies from former brides.
THE HONEYMOON | Still in planning and we are still saving for our trip! Hopefully three weeks travelling around Malaysia, Borneo and Singapore.
MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The ceremony was led by my sister and Tamlin’s grandfather so was completely personal to us, which made it really special. Letting off lanterns at night. Having a great time on the dance floor!
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Don’t worry too much about traditions, if it won’t add anything extra to your day then you shouldn’t do it! Also if you are thinking of ways to keep costs down, consider a picnic style meal instead of a formal sit down meal. Ask family and friends to help make decorations such as bunting, which is a great way of decorating a venue cheaply. Buy lots of fairy lights! Only spend money on the things that are really important to you and then you can save in other places.
