The perfect way to end Valentine’s day here at WWW is share pretty romantic inspiration me thinks.
I was over the moon to be contacted by bridal designer Charlotte Garratt sharing her latest bridal shoot with me. A brilliant bride marries bride concept with the loveliest pink and gold details.
Look out for the love heart cake… it is THE best.
“The shoot concept was dreamt up by me and the fabulous photographer Cecelina Tornberg. We’ve worked on a number of shoots together before and I love Cecelina’s style of photography. I’ve always wanted to style a lesbian shoot particularly as I love the idea of being able to create two outfits and working with both sides of the bridal couple! We wanted to keep to a style of summery and feminine, with pinks, ivory and gold as our main colour scheme.
I have a stunning park local to me that I have always wanted to shoot in, it’s a combination of woods and wildflower meadows and is simply stunning, and with this shoot it just worked.
Cecelina and I have very similar tastes and we knew we wanted to the shoot to be fun but with an editorial feel. The bridal outfits I made for the shoot are both quite modern and fun, but feminine too.
Our fantastic models were transformed into blushing brides by the amazing and lovely Amanda White. We hadn’t worked together before but she immediately saw the look I was trying to achieve and went above and beyond my ideas.
Both brides wore hair accessories, a stunning piece from Natasha Jane and fresh flowers provided by Gwenda of Fearless Florals.
The picnic setting was something I’ve wanted to create for a long time; it’s been featured a lot recently, particularly in engagement shoots, and seems to be a popular ideal. Rather than keep it too minimal we decided to style a full sweet tablescape, with fabulous edible treats supplied by Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium. I particularly love the heart surprise! Gorgeous pretty in pink stationery finished off the table setting perfectly, and the signs were fab too!”
