Autumnal Allure.
Autumn can bring with it a golden colour palette, which was the first inspiration when the shoot concept came to life. A majestic team of brides and bridesmaids were destined to gather and what a perfect spot then Rise Hall. The setting provided a backdrop that not only set the scene but enhanced the retro touches that popped with coloured glass, soft fabrics, and florals.
Rise Hall, once owned by renowned property expert Sarah Beeny, has been loving restored to its former glory. The venue is perfect for a wedding weekend, sleeping 62 guests, it is your own stately manor house for the weekend.
Set in peaceful grounds, where the trees show their autumnal colours, the gardens are often visited by deer, rabbits, and wildlife in abundance. Perfect for a wedding at any time of the year, but especially autumn.
The vibe for the shoot was all about the lux retro. The wedding dresses chosen to highlight the different tones and styles that could be created.
The original library with over 600 books featured as the focus space, allowing all three dresses provided by Elizabeth Lucas Bridal to be shown to their fullest.
Showcasing three styles of elegant lace and sparkle really let the girls’ personalities shine. Weather you would like to go with dramatic selves, to a bit of sparkle, or head to toe lace, the choice is yours!
The fireplace was dressed in relaxed florals by Emma at Flowerstyle. Emma is a champion of local and homegrown. The ‘no foam’ movement is strong in her heart and creating the free form relaxed style is what she does best.
Picking up the light peach tones, mixed with the berries and bumped up with greenery from the local area.
This looked carried across to the intimate dining table.
Festooned with beautifully delicate glass and a central piece to give height and drama, Belle Bijoux Styling is always creative. Allowing the subtle touches to come through, without masking the venue, this dining table, fitted into the look perfectly.
The large windows in the library helped with the vision of Jemma King Photography. Jemma’s style is of capturing the mood with the romantic tones, adding a bit of fun when it came to confetti time!
The bridesmaid dresses, all high street brands, just show how easy it is to create the look you wanted without breaking the bank! A retro feel, with chunky shoes, tassels, velvets, and fun-loving frills.
It is always great to see how a collection of dresses come together without everyone been the same. Go brave and bold with your maid choices and this will only enhance the look further.
Makeup and hair was on point, both girls got the brief down, with a natural colour palette, pinks, and soft tones to enhance the dresses.
Golden eyes made the autumnal styled stand out from the crowd. Hair followed suit, with soft waves and long auburn curls to swoon over.
The ceremony space must be one of my favourite areas. With a focal point that is modern showing off the angles, soft drapes, flower statements and the original artwork, features made the blend of traditional with ‘on trend’ styling work.
Dressing a ceremony space can be one that couples always worry about, should it be simple? Should it be an area to focus on?
Well, I think this shoot has shown it certainly is an area to make the most of. Décor can be reused again during the wedding and why not make the area to say your vows – WOW!
The staircase at Rise Hall is such a regal and elegant focal point, dressing the staircase with a stunning floral cascade of flowers, candles and décor was a sure bet for the shoot.
Again, the blend of modern with elegant shone through. The dresses flowed beautifully on the staircase too.
A bridal shoot with a difference, make a statement and be bold!
Goodness me, what a special shoot indeed!
