What better way to celebrate your engagement than with a sweet day out in pretty Cambridge. Chris and Kimberley met 5 years ago and following a romantic proposal they are now planning their wedding.
I just love these loved up and intimate portraits. Punting and picnicking… perfect.
Thanks so much to Andie Freeman Photography for sharing such gorgeous images with us this afternoon.
“Chris and Kimberley love to spend days in Cambridge (about 45 minutes from their home in Peterborough) punting and picnicking. So we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place for their engagement session. So Chris made some sandwiches and Kimberley packed up the picnic basket with them, a pie, and some Buck’s Fizz and off we headed to Cambridge. After the picnic, we went punting on the River Cam. It was such a beautiful day and it made for such an amazing engagement session!”
Kimberley tells us; “We met exactly 5 years previous to the wedding day on a track day at Cad Well Park Race Track. His first words to me were would you like to come see my caravan which him and his friends used to sleep on track weekends so safe to say I wasn’t exactly impressed. He asked my friend for my number and despite the caravan I agreed to go on a date with him. We went to a local pub in the country side for a drink and then to the cinema where he caught me off guard with a our first kiss watching a zombie thriller! From then onwards we have pretty much been inseparable. We are a perfect match as we bring out the best in each other most of the time!! We are quite different in some ways. We are big kids and so we do tend to bicker and his parents always say here come the kids when we arrive to visit them! He says the best thing about me is that life is never boring and no one day is ever the same. I’d have to say it’s because he is incredibly kind and handsome!”
Chris’ proposal was, “A complete surprise on his birthday he covered our home in candles, blind folded me and then got down on one knee and told me he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me and would I marry home. I said yes as we both cried!”
Lovely. Thanks so much for sharing guys, I hope you have the most amazing wedding xo Lou
