Animal lovers, I have the perfect set of images to share with you. This lovely editorial was centred around pet friendly wedding ideas, along with a sustainable ethos, using both local Norfolk wedding suppliers and touches such as a grazing table for low waste and the beauty products used throughout are both eco-friendly and vegan. Amazing!
There were some super cute animals included to showcase how couples can include their pets in their wedding, with dogs, a pony and horses all making an appearance. I also love the transport included with bicycles for the bride and groom, a rickshaw for the journey to the ceremony and a cool truck too. I just have to shout out about the attire as all of the outfits are really stylish, the whole wedding party looked gorgeous.
The wild meadow style flowers made great impact, especially the aisle flowers and ceremony backdrop flower arch, which I am sure you will agree looks so pretty. Talking of the flowers, wait until you see the floral wedding cake set up, it’s sensational. There is just SO much to be inspired by here today to mention it all, so I will leave you with the stunning images by Vicky Plum Photography set at new outdoor venue Wellington Wood.
Pet Wedding Ideas
The Great Outdoors… Wedding ideas for nature-friendly and pet-loving couples…
For couples who love the idea of the freedom and joy of an outdoor wedding, a group of creative Norfolk wedding suppliers came together to share natural, personal and sustainable wedding inspiration at a special upcoming outdoor wedding venue, Wellington Wood, a secluded venue surrounded by nature in Norfolk and a special paradise for beloved pets to be a part of the wedding ceremony and celebration.
As a group of suppliers, we wanted to create a wedding inspiration to celebrate natural simplicity, encouraging couples to pick and choose the things that are important to them for their wedding to make their own magical ceremony and unforgettable celebrations.
Bespoke made items, locally handcrafted props and personalised touches were key. The wedding rings and jewellery were handmade by the Sonkai family jewellers in Norwich. The personalised elements included hand-drawn stationery from Frog & Pencil, personalised wedding favours of wildflower seeds from Wedding in a Teacup and soy candles from Samphirescents with carefully selected signs from Humblebee to show humour, love and care.
The summer greens and surrounding nature with seasonal locally grown flowers gave us the soft pastel flower and dress palette. We wanted the flowers to look as though they were growing up the ceremony posts and a meadowscape growing around the cakes as if the cakes were nestled in the meadow for the stylist Little Jem, florist Rose and Rhubarb and cake maker Sugar Buttons. Bespoke items such as the tree trunk meadowscape cake table, the crescent shape straw bales sofa, upcycled pallet furniture, giant wedding swing and rickshaw created a rustic feel. A giant tipi hat set up by Magical Events Ltd with its warm neutral canvas colours and chunky timber frame added a real sense of rustic celebration and outdoor adventure.
The bride wears a soft, free-spirited Willowby dress called Fawnlilly from Bud & Boe Bridal with pearl detailed flip flops she can kick off and feel the grass on her feet. Equally the bridesmaids can swoosh around in airy chiffon blush dresses for a carefree happiness look to dance til the early hours. The groom and best-man wear a versatile light-weight tweed suit from Puresuithire in Norwich, which can take on different looks as the wedding day progresses. We wanted to ensure all products were nature-friendly, so even the make-up, glitter art and hair products used are eco-friendly and vegan-based. The burlap aisle runner and table runners, copper cutlery and wooden boards are chosen for the natural textures choices along with the idea of a wedding graze table set up to show a low waste alternative and laid back sharing of food together. A simple wooden bar with local family business and quality ales from Ampersand Brewery, award winning Flint wine and Norfolk Gin with their clever refillable gin bottles system.
As a group, this style shoot really gave us a sense of achievement, pride and pleasure to show how mindful simplicity, nature, local suppliers and pets show the freedom, love, laughter, humour and memories that an outdoor wedding can give. We also felt that this relaxed, comfortable, laid-back outdoor wedding style gives couples and their guests the space to reflect on and feel their important connection together as a couple and with those they love, their pets and the nature surrounding them on their special day.
