Happy Sunday! I hope you have a wonderful day planned out, but before you head out to enjoy the rest of your weekend, settle down because you are going to want to really take in these incredible wedding ideas coordinated and styled by Florence & Vera Events.
I love the soft and romantic beginning to this editorial shoot, which encapsulates the countryside setting of The Holford Estate perfectly. Think wild and abundant florals, billowing bridal gowns, dapper groomswear and delicate accessories. Before long though the stylish outfits alongside the wonderful hair and make up looks change into something a little edgier with modern accessories and cool vibes.
The tablescapes were styled in dramatic colours and delicate tableware. Then there was a super tall and statement cake plus very beautiful stationery. The lighting too was really extraordinary, with festoon lights and neon lighting all making for atmospheric backdrops. Not to mention the floral installations which are really very striking. Please do enjoy these remarkable images and film by Kate McCarthy Photography and Amy Louise. Wow!
Romantic Wedding Ideas
Cheshire, a heartland for romance, with its rustic landscapes and rural countryside. It made perfect sense to relive Roisin and Chris’ love story in this quintessentially English setting. Our wonderful models are married and it was amazing to capture their chemistry for this shoot. The day was brisk but the sun shined at The Holford Estate for a timeless wedding inspiration shoot.
The Holford Estate Venue
The Holford Estate – set in 130 acres of Cheshire countryside – is a true fairytale. Guests are welcomed to the estate by a grand tree-lined avenue which creates an instant spectacle. The whole creative was inspired by the rural magic of the venue. As the stream trickled through the grasslands, and the tractors hummed in the distance, the team set their stage at the paddocks. It’s a truly perfect place for animal lovers! We are blessed with the British Great Outdoors and this became the backdrop for this romantic English rose wedding.
Styling, Co-Ordination & Props
Florence & Vera Events was determined to prove that traditional does not mean boring! She brought together some stunning vendors to deliver the highest quality; without gimmicks.
An opulent colour palette dressed every detail of the day to complement the drama of the venue. The blush pinks and cream create a sense of comforting familiarity, so true to weddings of the past. The delicate tones came to life through bold splashes of black, red, and gold. An inspired choice that reflected the juxtaposition of the ethereal countryside and dramatic estate house.
Kate is passionate about storytelling through her styling and this is evident through the banquet table setting, fit for a Cheshire king and queen. Regal touches pursue into the wax stamped stationery and Roisin’s tiara; it never feels outdated though! Florence & Vera Events adds a modern edge for contemporary couples through introducing urban lighting and backdrops.
The Bride & Groom
We cannot thank our stunning models enough. Roisin and Chris were beautiful models and the go-to choice for our Holford Estate wedding. Our bride was adorned in the most splendid gowns with help from Rock The Frock Cheshire. Each was born out of traditional styles, with ball-gown cuts, feminine fabrics and broderie details. Modernity was introduced through striking capes, sleeves and necklines.
Whitfield & Ward dressed the groom in an equally majestic manner. Their suits are timelessly elegant and tailored to the highest level of detail. Quality is key to them and our groom looked fit to be a king! Touches of warmth and personality were added through the quirky mix of prints and pattern.
Lisa Simms was on hand to help our couple look their very best! Lisa is a professional bridal hairdresser and make-up artist based in the North-West. She is passionate about putting people at ease on their big day with classical romantic looks. Roisin’s natural tendrils and soft waves were an amazing choice for an English rose; the couple looked at-home in this idyllic countryside setting.
Floral & Cake Centrepieces
The wedding cake and floral displays are often central statement pieces that embody the wedding’s theme. Painted in the day’s romantic colour palette, they created more than a statement, they unified the entire look and feel.
Marie Antoinette Cakes, based in the North-West, specialises in luxurious wedding cakes. The powerful use of black was an empowered choice that creates a passionate, contemporary feel. This dominance was softened by the cream ruffles, lucious flora, and English berries.
It was a match made in heaven for the emotive floral displays of Diddibox Flowers. They created the perfect balance of refinement and energy with tumbling foliage and sumptuous roses. The use of metallics added a stylish, regal aesthetic, and the lively variations in height and scale created horticultural masterpieces to behold!
Love Lights The Way provided the wow-factor with beautiful lighting that added a cool edge to this traditional style wedding. Their lights are such an amazing photo opportunity that are guaranteed to thrill guests. Lighting is essential in creating a mood and atmosphere on the big day.
The stationery followed the grand theme with dashes of metallic foiling and wax stamps. These bespoke artworks were created by Knock Knock Penny Studio who specialise in wedding stationery. It’s a must-have for any wedding day that creates a tactile touch-point between the couple and guests. They are mementos of the day which can be treasured forever.

From colours, to composition, to textures their work is a feast for the eyes. They allow couples to float back into the memory of their big day and soak up the atmosphere forever more!
