How amazing to be headed to Australia today for the stunning mountain elopement of Madelaine and Ryan?! Their day was a total and utter dream; think an intimate gathering with just 55 guests. They were married just before the COVID19 restrictions came into place on the 21st March 2020.
They were hitched in the most scenic spot with a cool flower arch backdrop. It really looked so magical. They then partied away outdoors, with a tables set up beneath the trees. It must have looked so magical when those festoon lights were turned on! Their day was all about laid back vibes and seriously cool attire. The happiness radiates through these stunning images by Petite Visuals, it’ll certainly leave a smile on your face today. Oh so cool.

The Proposal
Ryan and I met in year 10 in science class at school. I annoyed him enough that he finally asked me out
I knew he had had the ring for the past 10 months, so every special occasion or holiday I thought that it was going to happen, but no he kept me guessing! We were on a holiday in Port Douglas and Ryan planned a full day with a picnic, massage, romantic dinner and then when we got back to the apartment he had organised for a florist to come in and cover the place in flowers and he proposed to me.
The Vision
Laid back, we really wanted people to have fun and not feel so formal and structured.
The Planning Process
Going through Under The Moon Elopements meant that the planning of the wedding was so easy and stress free! We were so lucky to have the amazing Ash and her husband plan our whole day. I would send pictures and ideas to Ash and she bought the wedding to life.

Your Outfits
I went with my mum and best friend and feel like I tried on a million dresses before I found the one I fell in love with! Unfortunately we got pregnant just before the wedding so it didn’t fit as well as I had hoped but still felt amazing on the day.
The Music
Aisle – All of me, John Legend
Reception – Crazy in love, Beyoncé
First dance – Hold my girl, George Ezra
Check out these wedding songs and first dance song ideas too!
Memorable Moments
The food haha! No at the end of the ceremony, walking back down the aisle as a married couple. I have never felt so happy in my life.
COVID! We literally got in just in time, we were married two days before the tight restrictions came in in Melbourne in March.
Advice For Other Couples
