From the crescent moon backdrop and balloons to the stunning attire, flowers and showstopping table set up. You are going to be left spellbound. Oh so beautiful!
“Your love is the kind of love that makes the stars light up the night sky“.
This beautiful celestial concept was thought up by Trina from Photography By Petrina, and Lois from the gorgeous Swarling Manor. They knew from the start they wanted a colour palette different from what was currently around, and went for the mix of mauves and purples to show you don’t need a white dress to be a bride!
Trina only wanted to work with the best suppliers and hand picked them all based on their skills and things they could bring to the starry table. She wanted each supplier to showcase themselves as much as possible.
“I decided from the start I wanted it to be different from other styled shoots and give a real wedding feel and I think as a team and between my images and Luke’s video it worked out amazingly”.
The beautiful Bride Emily had her hair styled by Laura at Versastyle. “Being a hairstylist specialising in braiding I channeled boho vibes via chunky fishtail braids in a half up look, finished with effortless beach waves to achieve a celestial/ethereal feel on Emily’s beautiful red hair. The bridesmaids hair saw a complete contrast, with flowing Hollywood glam waves, which allowed movement, but fell instantly back into place.”
Her make up was done by Lara James, who complimented the mood board so clearly. The whole look was really set off by the gorgeous star clustered headpiece from Saint Beth Official.
Bride Emily wears a bespoke two piece gown (body suit and skirt) designed and handmade by With Love and Lace using ombré tulle printed with delicate silver stars.
Designer Jo commented “I instantly fell in love with the mood board for this shoo, and I had the most dreamy ethereal fabric in mind which just suited the theme perfectly”.
Di Hassel provided the shoes, and when she heard there were going to be shades of lilac and blush tones she knew she needed to come up with something really beautiful!
“As it was going to be quite whimsical and romantic I thought a tie fronted shoe with silk ribbons would be perfect, then I embellished it with tiny blossom flowers, silver stars, frosted diamanté’s in blush and lilac and hand-dyed lilac silk ribbons, I think the end result worked beautifully with the layers of tulle on that fabulous dress.”
I love you more than there are stars in the sky.
The day ran as a real wedding from first looks to a wedding ceremony, written and performed by featured supplier Bex The Celebrant, who used the couples real love story to create a bespoke ceremony for them (resulting in very real tears from Emily, Josh and the other suppliers!).
Bay Wedding Props provided a traditional wooden ceremony arch of which stood proudly at the foot of the garden stairway. The arch was one of the main focal points in the glorious Swarling Manor gardens.
“We chose a rich purple draping, gold geometric candle holders, gold geometric star shapes, and a gold shiny moon to style the ceremony area. The woodland was the perfect backdrop for the table setting and cake table. We provided a rustic wooden table, and collaborated with Sarah from Beyond The Table; the table was styled to perfection. We added the hanging stars over the table, and hung larger stars from the trees to create a magical whimsical setting.”
The table and ceremony arch were dressed in a stunning pampas and dried flower cloud provided by Lady Penelopes, who also supplied the gorgeous bridal bouquet and buttonhole for the shoot.
Boho and Bloom provided the amazing moon and balloon arch with their neon ‘dancing in the moonlight’ sign and the cake by CB Cakery tied in perfectly too!
However, the real stars of the show, the gorgeous doggies Avo and Honey.
It was a gorgeous day, filled with love, celebration and dancing in the moonlight.
