January blues are banished today! Instead we are looking towards the beautiful English summer, if last year’s heat wave was anything to go by anyway. I really am totally feeling the summery vibes thanks to these gorgeous light and airy inspirational images brought to us by Charlotte Palazzo Photography. Summer dreaming at it’s finest.
For those of you in the throes of planning a summer wedding, then let me say that these blooms here today by Artemisia Floral Design are sure to inspire you. The flowers are locally sourced and seasonal, featuring roses and stunning foliage with pops of 2019’s Pantone colour of the year; Living Coral. A beautiful blush tone also can be found in the bride’s first look, I just love that tulle skirt. Dreamy! Keep your eyes peeled for gorgeous attire and exquisite stationery designs too. So romantic.
I find photographing Charlotte’s flowers so inspiring, she has a really beautiful fine art style. For the shoot we wanted to create a timeless English countryside theme, the brief was to keep it light, airy and romantic encompassing the beautiful English summer. Charlotte’s floral design style is naturalistic and centred around using unique and seasonal flowers that have texture, movement as well as colour – capturing the relaxed essence of an English country garden in full bloom. We really wanted to show this through the photography, keeping the images dreamy and soft and letting that gorgeous English summer light in. All the flowers for the bouquets are locally sourced and representative for the season and bound together with beautiful plant dyed silk ribbons by Sharon from Northern Hands.
The wedding stationery was supplied by Claire from Lost Heritage. They design and make the most stunning letterpress stationery and the design she sent us for this shoot was perfect as it was soft and romantic and the foiling reflected the light in the loveliest way.
