This beautiful Letchworth wedding features muted tones, natural elements and a whole lot of love! It’s time to share Steffi and Rob’s wedding held at the Letchworth Centre for Healthy Living in Hertfordshire on the 31st August 2019. I have to say it’s lovely to be sharing a wedding in one of my local towns and it’s just wonderful to hear lots of local wedding suppliers’ names in this real wedding report, including the fab Supplier Love member Fleur De Lace, who provided the gorgeous decorations. Alice at Fleur De Lace actually decorated my own wedding, so I cannot recommend her enough! Anyway I digress, just what do I love about Steffi and Rob’s day?
First up they described their day to me as “an absolute whirlwind of a day but perfect in every way!” which is so evident from the stunning captures by Milkbottle Photography and of course we are so grateful to be featuring them. From the touching ceremony to the gorgeous portraits and all the monumental points of their day, it all looks so filled with joy. I so adore the scandi rustic vision that they brought to life, think natural wooden touches, an abundance of greenery and candlelight. Gorgeous!
Steffi looked stunning in her flowing gown, Rob was suited and booted in brown tweed and all the dusky pink roses pulled together the theme in the most cohesive of ways. Also look out for pretty greenery hoops, some very special classic cars and games in the grounds. So so lovely.
I (Rob) proposed to Steffi while we were in holiday in Charlestown, Cornwall. Steffi is madly in love with Cornwall and they filmed her favourite film (About Time) nearby to where we were staying. One evening in the cottage we were staying in I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me and she said yes!
A really relaxed garden party vibe with a rustic theme, bringing the outdoors inside, mixed with ‘Scandi’ influences. Lots of greenery, wood and copper elements. Another huge element was to use two identical Jaguar Etypes (one of which belongs to Steffi’s Dad) as she has grown up around them her whole life it was really important we included them.
The Planning Process
Mostly browsing pintrest to find weddings with similar themes alongside a big spreadsheet! We also had a lot of input from both of our families as we wanted to include important family members, who could and couldn’t be there with us.

Your Outfits & Accessories
Dress – The White Wardrobe (Hitchin, Hertfordshire). Designed by Lillian West.
Shoes – Emmy London
Hair Piece – Emmy London
Jewellery – Diamond Stud Earrings belonging to Steffi’s mum
Steffi wanted a dress that was comfortable and complimented her shape and she definitely didn’t want a big meringue dress. Steffi found the shoes and hair piece online and by pure chance they matched the embroidery that was on the dress perfectly.
Suit & Tie – The Vintage Suit Hire Company (Bedford, Bedfordshire)
Shoes – Eves and Grey London
Watch – Christopher Ward
Rob wanted a suit that had rustic and country vibe to go with the overall vibe of the wedding. Similar to Steffi he found the shoes via an Instagram advert and the pattern happened to match the tweed of the suit almost perfectly. They also had purple soles and laces which is Steffi’s favourite colour!

The whole day was one big amazing memory, but the ceremony was a particular standout memory as it was so personal to us having worked closely with our celebrant Zena (Zena Birch Weddings) to build the day around us.
Advice For Other Couples
Do NOT worry about the small things, you’ll be too preoccupied to notice them on the day!
Also, take 5 minutes out of the wedding for just the two of you to stop and look at what’s going on around you, it soon goes!
