This rainy, moody and cosy Lake District elopement editorial is sure to give you all the Autumn vibes today. I love the carefree, relaxed and laid back nature of these images by Jenny Appleton. A free spirited couple having an adventure with their pup to cement their love and begin their marriage, does it get any more romantic?
I have to say the setting at The Wild Boar is so inviting; candlelight, wild flowers and gorgeous stationery all set the tone. A special meal for two and a stunning array of cakes completes the intimate reception, perfection. The bride’s hair and make up are on point and that two piece gown is just so stylish. Let’s not forget the groom who wears matching wellies to his bride teamed with a check jacket and orange tie, very cool!
The Wild Boar Inn in the wild and rugged Lake District was the setting for this inspirational elopement shoot. With Covid putting a stop to big weddings this year elopements just might be the answer and this elopement shoot just shows how special you can make it with just the two of you and your loyal pooch come rain or shine.
The day was wet, windy and moody but this only added to the wild mood of the images.
The table styling by Tebbey&Co was warm, relaxed and not too structured with plenty of wild flowers of warm and pinky tones with plenty of different layered textures and stationery that was hand-written by the talented By Moon and Tide.
Emma and Matt were treated to a slap up steak meal with all the trimmings just for the two of them for their intimate wedding breakfast. Accompanied by their pooch Winnie who was wearing the prettiest of floral collars by Tuna and Bear which after running around in the wet and muddy tarn didn’t look so pristine!
Emma was dressed in a Shikoba bride two piece wedding dress that blew beautifully in the wind with a sophisticated lace top and a floaty tulle skirt. Teamed with her trusted khaki Barbour wellies. Effortless natural make-up teamed with tousled, waved hair completed Emma’s effortless look.
Matt wore black chinos teamed with a warm toned green and brown chequered jacket with a burnt orange tie that complimented the florals and styling. His matching wellies finished his look off perfectly.
After a good feed they headed off to the local tarn in The Wild Boars Land Rover for some awesome couples portraits. The rain and wind wasn’t going to stop Emma and Matt as they embraced the weather as let’s face it, it rarely doesn’t rain in The Lake District! They trudged through mud and puddles determined to get the shots and they didn’t disappoint. These images show just how amazing your images can be even if the elements are against you, you just need to go with it and embrace it!
