Pure joy and sun-drenched wedding loveliness today folks courtesy of Laura Adams Photography. Yay! We are at Jervaulx Abbey for these dreamy wedding ideas, an elopement editorial shoot inspired by the Mediterranean. Think jewel tones, lush fruit and a gorgeous outdoor wedding reception.
There is so much I love about these bright images; the immense dahlia flower arrangements, the intricate stationery designs, the striking lighting and the rustic style wedding table. Let’s not forget the smoke bombs, the floral cakes, the super stylish outfits and the beautiful hair and make up. Enjoy it all.
Jervaulx Abbey Wedding Ideas
A Mediterranean-inspired styled elopement/wedding shoot with a classic backdrop, oozing of romance and self-indulgence.
Jervaulx Abbey was the perfect location for two love-birds to explore and run wild. Elopements offer adventure on a platter, and I really wanted my pictures to reflect this. They’re playing out their story within the Abbey walls, so the styling (by Suzanne Oddy) and lighting (by Typical Type) had to compliment, rather than distract from its natural beauty. That’s why we leaned on pops of colour, tiled patterns and fresh lemons.
A brilliant bunch of local suppliers brought the shoot together and we even had the cinematic skills of Kieran Paul Photography who produced an epic video. Floristry was by genius Jaymie from Forge Events who uses a mix of fresh and dried flowers, and the cake was from Copper Spoon Bakery who makes the tastiest, most beautiful creations. The two piece bridal top and skirt was supplied by Luna Bride who I’ve been dying to work with for a while – her dresses are so delicate and 100% vegan.
