Words cannot describe just how much I adore this wedding ideas editorial today. I mean that balloon installation is just epic and I love the dramatic black balloons, which is not your typical wedding dΓ©cor colour, but it just works doesn’t it? In fact all the rich, decadent colours here today work really beautifully for a luxe feel; with colbolt blue, dark burgundy and copper all used to great effect. Modern with edge. The tablescape is actually kept pretty simple, with tall copper pipe flower arrangements lifting the space for chic candles and linens. The stationery in alternative materials is just glorious, featuring leather in the invitation suite and the seating plan is created in fabric hanging from a wooden frame laden with florals. What a show stopper!
Moving on to the outfits, because quite frankly they are super stylish. I especially love the starry celestial cape donned by the bride and the cute hare pin accessorising the groom’s tweed suit. The bridal bouquet is just something else, I’m not sure I’ve ever seen such a large bouquet and it’s just remarkable. The bridal make up by shoot organiser Ali Kynoch was of course flawless and fresh. Then there are the sensational shots by Ayelle Photography, keep your eyes peeled for romantic smoke bomb portraits. Wow!
I’ve been inspired to do an industrial shoot for sometime I also wanted to bring in a touch of a luxury feel to the stylised inspirational shoot. Showing couples more options and diversity also by playing around with different elements and materials, textures and backgrounds in settings, installations and environments. Mixing the balloon installation and rich vibrant florals with foliage. The richness of copper and bold magenta flowers with the bold blue and copper minimalist style of cake against the setting and combination of a barn venue with polished cement floors and wood. Adding the metal containers as a backdrop with the chic elegance of the model’s stylish wedding dress and modern edgy accessories that she is wearing. Flowers tucked into the pocket of the bold blue wool/tweed suit of our groom model.
The blue and rich brown bespoke stationery and tablescape and table planning mixed well with the wood and leather interiors and tied in beautifully with the grooms attire too. We were fortunate that the owners of Furtho Manor Farm also allowed us to use their amazing little chapel that’s on their grounds too, bringing all these eclectic elements together for the modern couple hopefully offering inspiring, creative ideas for their wonderful day.
Amber is a gorgeous natural redhead and I wanted to show her beautiful hair by keeping it quite natural and down with a loose wave, then later we tied back a section of her hair with a plait. Make up was again quite natural with minimal eye make up adding a pop of colour with a bold statement lip of bright pink using Nars lipstick in Schiap.
