The couples that have married during 2020 and the COVID-19 pandemic have really inspired me, just as James and Dominik’s story did. They had a stylish Hackney wedding on the 22nd August 2020, which was simple with no stress. They were married at Hackney Town Hall in London, followed by a reception at Barge East, it was the ultimate city chic intimate day.
Their story really enforces what is most important about getting married and to them, it was their perfect day, despite changing their initial plans. I really love how loved up and happy they are, their totally on-trend outfits and these gorgeous images by Grace Pham Photography. Thanks so much for sharing these amazing shots with us Grace!
Dominik proposed to James in April 2019, after they had been dating for 1.5 yrs – although they had met in 2016 when James was on a Euro trip.
Dominik had initially planned to propose to James on their upcoming Vietnam trip – but can’t keep a secret and proposed a week before with a tiffany signet ring.
The initial vision was a countryside wedding weekend in a villa in the Czech republic with 50 guests from Europe, Australia and NZ (Dominik is Czech and James is Australian). However due to the COVID pandemic this, unfortunately, couldn’t happen and so what formed was an effortless, intimate wedding that would make 2020 memorable.
