Black Tie & Tuxedo Wedding Suits

You really can’t go wrong with a formal wedding suit such as a black-tie or tuxedo suit. But you don’t just have to go for the traditional black, mix up your style with colour.

Always be sure to go for that statement bow tie and formal perfectly ironed shirt and polished shoes for a really dapper combo. Just be sure that your formal style will suit the occasion of your day, and be sure to let your guests know too.

Velvet Wedding Suit Jackets

For a luxe and opulent wedding look, why not think about adding texture with velvet? Velvet suits and jackets are sure to be a hit in 2023, especially with Autumn/Winter weddings. Cosy, tactile and really on-trend.

Plus you can opt for rich jewel tones to really elevate the style or stand out from your wedding party.

Check Wedding Suit Ideas

Add a touch of pattern to your groom’s look, with a check suit. There are so many great fabrics and patterns available both on the high street or at tailors.

From small checks to larger prints and an array of hues, there is a check suit to suit every groom. Be bold and add a clashing print in your accessories too, or keep it paired back with a minimal open-collar style.

Dapper Tweed Groom Style

Tweed and wool suits are a great way to stay warm, but also add a luxury country vibe to a wedding outfit. They also add a wonderful texture that isn’t your typical 9-5 work suit but will make you feel really special. Think about adding a pocket watch or a pretty buttonhole to soften the style.

Traditional Morning Wedding Suits & Tails

If you’re a fan of grandeur and tradition, a morning suit or tails may be just the ticket. Incorporate different colour waistcoats, patterned ties and sharp shoes to add a modern twist. Your groomsmen could also wear a different take for a cool mismatched style.

A really fashionable groom’s suit is a mismatched look. Source mix-and-match items from the high street or independent boutiques. Choose different fabrics, patterns, colours and footwear to really have fun with this trend-setting style.

2023 Wedding Suits By Colour

If you are thinking about a set colour for your wedding suit, check out the below hues for inspiration. With blues, greys, yellows, pinks, creams and reds to help you choose your wedding day colour palette.

Navy & Blue Groom Suits

Blue and navy are by far the most popular choice for wedding suit colours that I see in real weddings. Classic, but fresh, they suit most grooms and look really beautiful with an array of colourful accessories.

Grey Wedding Suits

If you’re looking for a neutral tone for your suit then grey may be perfect. It’s a great base colour to tie in with your wedding theme, whether it be your bridesmaids or flowers and can look so stylish.

Pale Wedding Suits

If you are thinking of something a little softer, then pale cream tones work beautifully, especially for summer or beach weddings. Team with pastel shades and a classic white shirt. Wedding suit done!

Red & Burgundy Groom Suits

For a real pop of colour, why not consider a burgundy-red suit? Burgundy tones have been huge in weddings and a red suit is a safe, yet striking suit choice. Team with floral accessories and tan shoes for the perfect autumnal look.

Green Wedding Suit Ideas

I think green wedding suits look incredible. They have a natural feel yet with a modern edge. If you’re looking for something unique that doesn’t scream fashion, this may be your suit colour.

If you love to make a statement, why not try the newest trend in wedding attire? Pink wedding suits, or perhaps just the jacket. Pretty, soft and perfect for pastel or edgy wedding styles, they can look amazing.

Wedding Suits By Season

Maybe you’re looking for wedding suit ideas by the season. I have you covered for all weather conditions as I look at suits for hot and cold weather.

Summer Wedding Suit Ideas

If you’re hoping for a scorcher of a wedding, think about having pale colours to reflect the heat. Don’t forget to use lightweight fabrics, or even go for cut-off shorts. Have an open collar, and bring sunnies, a cool hat and sockless footwear to stay cool yet stylish.

Winter Groom Style

If you’re looking to keep wrapped up, add knitwear to your groom’s suit. Think cardigan layers, jumpers, scarves or even a coat overlayer. You could even add thermals, and extra layers. Be sure to bring a pair of wellies for your portraits to ensure no matter the conditions you can venture out.
