Fresh, vibrant and bang on trend weddings ideas just perfect for the first styled shoot of 2017 on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings. Taking inspiration from Pantone’s colour of the year ‘Greenery’, this shoot combines a lush botanical and tropical feel in colour popping greens. Mixed with the vivid colour scheme are soft whites, golds and pinks to add a touch of luxe and romance. There was pretty candlelight, striking stationery and some show stopping cakes to name a few.
I really love the glowing bridal make up look, the elegant gowns and of course the fine art style imagery. Just stunning.
Many thanks goes to Georgina Harrison for sending over these dreamy shots for us to swoon over.
Acklam Hall Fine Art Greenery Shoot
This grade 1 listed wedding venue in the north of England is just stunning. We were over the moon to have an opportunity to design and create elegant wedding styling influenced by the emerging tropical and botanical trends. As Pantone, the leading authority on colour announces Greenery as the colour of 2017 the colour palette is bang on trend.
Within the hall there an amazing array of stylish rooms and for this project we were located in the fabulous grand drawing room. With an incredible ceiling the room boasts beautifully restored original features with contemporary design details, and huge windows with views of the splendid ‘avenue of trees’ approach. The design brief was months in the planning, and with just the venue to source Acklam Hall was the perfect location for this glamorous shoot.
The shoot was planned to inspire and delight, introducing an exciting edge to wedding styling and décor. Mixed metallics are the perfect backdrop to lush foliage and tropical leaves. Layering candle lit votives, vases and lanterns over a large mirrored table top adds a sophisticated and elegant vibe. Considering all elements of the tablescape the luxury floor length table linen draped in soft folds, the gold cutlery, glassware and goblets shimmered as they reflected the warm flickering candle light, whilst the on trend beaded charger plates made a statement at each place setting. Personal details including script lettering, tropical inspired stationery, and hand dyed silk ribbon create a truly memorable experience for guests. Considering the style of chair was important too, with the stylish chateau chair complementing the setting and the design.
We chose two breathtaking gowns by Romantica of Devon. Kendra a soft slinky satin wedding dress with a crystal hand beaded belt at the waistline. Draped cowl back neckline with crystal detail, and Joanna an exclusive limited wedding dress available at The Bridal Affair Boroughbridge. A chic embroidered tulle gown, with sheer back detail, embroidered embellishment across the bodice and covered buttons. Chic wedding hair and make up had the timeless elegance many clients are searching for. The stunning braid is the hottest bridal hair trend and rocks the beautiful bespoke accessories.
A subtle colour palette of powdery whites, pinks and metallics was woven through the cake designs as dainty intricately decorated mini cakes feature alongside the stylish simplicity of the two three tier cakes. Flowers however took on a bolder feel as glossy leaves were used to design the bridal bouquet with delicate arching white orchids. We are loving seeing the larger trailing bouquets making a comeback as Victorian hot house foliage features in 2017 trends for both wedding styling and interiors.
This shoot required a fabulous collaboration of creatives and everyone involved delivered exquisite details of all the wedding day elements but without the incredibly talented fine art photographer Georgina Harrison there would be no record, no beautiful imagery, no photographs to share with you. I love them and I hope you do too!
