I do love a laid back and fun wedding atmosphere, which today’s real wedding feature has in spades, not to mention joyous vibes all round. Yay!
Becky and Paul were married in Becky’s parent’s garden in the beautiful Cotswolds on the 18th August 2018. They held their ceremony in the round surrounded by the lush gardens and Becky’s brother was their celebrant. How wonderful! A party then followed in the gardens al fresco with gazebos providing shelter, complete with ice cream van and pizza truck. Yum.
I love how colourful their day was, with bright bold florals and homegrown elements galore. The outfits were also super stylish. Paul was suited and booted in Ted Baker and I adore the pink waistcoat and floral bow tie combo. Becky chose a stunning embellished gown by Needle and Thread, which she teamed with a wildflower bouquet. Didn’t they look amazing?
Huge thanks goes to Jonny Barratt Photography for sharing with us these super beautiful images. What a special day indeed.
Paul proposed on the Milford on Sea beach as the sun was setting. He got down on one knee, one soggy knee.
My parent’s garden where it all took place. Outdoor ceremony in the round and my brother was our celebrant.
My parent’s garden in Gloucestershire in the Cotswolds. I had always wanted there to be a wedding in my parent’s garden, and was so thrilled we did there for ours.
The Readings & Music
We walked down the aisle to – A Little Choas by Peter Gregson.
First dance – Ain’t no Mountain high enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell.
Your Outfits & Accessories
Wedding dress – It was from Needle and Thread. I have loved the Needle and Thread style for a long time. I bought the bridesmaids dresses from there first, then chose mine, it was the first and only dress I tried! My earrings were from Catherine Zoraida.
Groom’s attire- Ted Baker was heavily involved, but with bow ties for the groom and groomsmen made by Gung Ho! They donate money from every purchase to Bee charities.
Our rings were commissions made by Laura Gravestock.
My mum did my hair and I did my make up.

Jonny Barratt Photography – Incredible moments caught forever, which Jonny did for us, thank you so, so much! It was just brilliant having Jonny there, I can’t imagine anyone else could have made us and our families feel so at ease and happy.
Our honeymoon was in Japan!
Post wedding we’re just glad not to be planning a wedding anymore, and people not asking us when we are going to hurry up and get married.
Saying our vows. How moving it was and how quickly it all went.
Advice For Other Couples
Start getting ready really early, don’t mess around with chairs and bunting.
Enjoy every minute. Practice your first dance in your wedding day shoes!
Don’t get carried away, remember why you’re doing it.
