Welcome to Jade and Rich’s beautiful Cornish tipi wedding held at the Cornish Tipi Weddings venue in Cornwall in the summer. Their day was ever so relaxed, with a gorgeous woodland theme.

Think stunning blush gown, pretty fresh flowers and rustic decor, which featured hessian, fairy lights and hay bales. I really love the moment in the rowing boat, which looked super beautiful as well as the magical sparkler send-off. It’s also great to see that WWW wedding supplier Warble Entertainment provided the live band in the evening. YES!

Emma Stoner, I can’t thank you enough for sharing these very dreamy images. Be prepared to be blown away by this gorgeous story.

The Proposal

We were in New York and I (Jade) had just run the New York Marathon. We got back to our hotel when Rich bent down on one knee, presented me with a pot of personalised M&Ms inscribed with ‘Jade will you marry me’ and the most beautiful ring. It was an easy yes.

The Vision

As a couple, we love the outdoors. Our favourite memories together have involved camping in some amazing places so we always imagined our wedding incorporating this as much as possible.

The Venue

I grew up in a small village in North Cornwall and always imagined getting married in this local little church, which had been buried in the sand – St Enodoc.

We then found Cornish Tipi Holidays, a venue not far from the Church – a relaxed campsite, with an amazing wedding marquee, located in the most beautiful setting.

Your Outfits

I had several items on my dream wedding dress checklist. It had to be floaty, have long lace sleeves and I didn’t want it to be white. I knew from the beginning that I wanted to visit The Bridal House of Cornwall (I just loved their styling).

I didn’t expect to find a dress easily but the moment I walked in and described what I envisioned they pulled out THE dress: The Naomi Neoh Fleur in blush. It was the first dress I put on and although they gave me several others to try I was sold on that first one.

Rich was equally relaxed in choosing his suit. He wanted a vintage tweed style and found that at The Vintage Suit Hire Company in Plymouth. They ordered everything in, delivered and arranged collection after, making the whole process stress free.

The Ceremony & Music

Although neither of us are religious, getting married in a Church felt important. I was lucky enough to have a local connection to St Minver parish in North Cornwall, meaning we were able to get married at the beautiful St Enodoc Church. After, we celebrated our reception at Cornish Tipi Holidays. Their marquee was all set up for us to party and we got to enjoy their beautiful setting, including private lake.

Having a live band was really important to us. We both love Mumford & Sons so wanted a band that had a similar vibe.

We sourced our band, The Wolfpack, through Warble Entertainment. The whole process was really straightforward and the band did not disappoint. They were amazing! They played an acoustic version of Fairytale of New York for our first dance (chosen to remember my dad who had passed away shortly after we got engaged in New York) and kept everyone dancing late into the night.

Your Photographer & Filmmaker

I first met Emma Stoner at a quaint little wedding fair and fell in love with her candid and relaxed photography style. We then met in a little cafe in Totnes to discuss our wedding plans and came away thinking she was slightly bonkers – we knew at that moment we didn’t want anyone else to be our wedding photographer.

Emma was just so personable and made us feel immediately relaxed. She caught the most amazing photos of our day without getting in the way or making things feel staged. We loved her so much we asked her to arrange a maternity photoshoot when we found out we were expecting our first baby.

The Styling & Decor

To fit with our outdoorsy venue, our styling centred around a woodland theme.

The Honeymoon

As a couple, we’ve travelled to some amazing places together but we’ve always had a soft spot for the United States, so for our honeymoon, we travelled across Route 66. We took a detour to see the Grand Canyon, then travelled up to San Francisco before flying back for a final weekend in Las Vegas.

Memorable Moments

It’s hard to capture just one moment from a day that is full of memories that will last a lifetime.

Rich says his memorable moment is the moment we walked out of the church as husband and wife, whereas mine is probably from the end of the night when we were sat around the fire, under the stars, about to go to bed for the first time as husband and wife – although copious amounts of prosecco do make that memory slightly hazy!

Advice For Other Couples

Everyone told us our wedding day would go by quickly, but nothing can prepare you for just how fast the day goes by. So we would simply say just enjoy every single moment.
