We are in beautiful California today for the stunning ranch wedding of Ryan and Stephanie who were married on the 13th October 2019 at Rancho Pavo Real.
Their whole day was held outdoors in the glorious sunshine. Firstly they married outside against a magnificent hexagon flower arch, draped in the most lush blooms ever. Think rust and blush tones with greenery and grasses for good measure! There were also amazing flowers in the throughout décor and the in bouquets, oh my.
The romance didn’t end there though as they then dined outside with their nearest and dearest to celebrate. The décor was simple yet thoughtful and a delicious semi naked cake took centre stage of the dessert table.
Wildflower Photo Co. thank you ever so much for sharing with us these wonderful images today.
The Proposal
Ryan proposed in Big Bear on 9/13/2018.
The Vision
We didn’t have a set vision in mind other than we wanted to have our wedding in the fall using fall colors.
The Planning Process
The planning process was pretty simple. We took our time researching but ultimately went with vendors we felt would understand us as a couple and the vibe that we were looking for. We only had trouble with getting our venue locked in. Our 1st two cancelled 1 in Feb and the other in June. Luckily, we had a wonderful coordinator and Dawn at Tularosa Flowers helped us locate Rancho Pavo Real. We ended up choosing the venue site unseen.

Your Outfits & Accessories
My dress was by Watters that I purchased from my sister Amanda’s bridal shop Moondance bridal. Inside my dress my mom had pieces of fabric from old clothes of my grandparents so they could be there in spirit.
My veil was handmade by my mother and I.
Jewlery was made by me.
Ryan’s suit was custom made from The Grotto with our wedding date stitched to the inside of the jacket. He also wore his grandfathers pocket watch.
Beauty
Hair and makeup by Just Lago.
Groomsmen
Custom made from The Grotto.
The Readings & Music
We did not have any readings. My brother Chris was ordained for our wedding so he could do the ceremony.
The processional was the instrumental to Lucky by Jason Maraz and Colbie Callet.
Our first dance was to When I get my Hands on you by the New Basement Tapes.
Bridesmaids
For the bridesmaids I just provided them the color olive green. They each chose their own dress from different vendors.
The Details & Décor
Flowers were the center point of our décor. Everything else was there to accent them.
Some of the personal touches we added were photographs of our grandparents who are no longer with us to the gift table. Our guest book was a book of classic fairy tales that people signed in the margins.

The Cake
The cake was by Sweet Little Baker. Flower decorations on cake were done by Tularosa Flowers.
Advice For Other Couples
Our advice to other couples is to remember the day is for you. And to not try too hard to please everyone else.
