Style in spades this morning folks and in the most beautiful of destinations too. If you are tempted by a dreamy Italian wedding, then this day may just tip you over to booking up that destination celebration.
Kate and Ben tied the knot on the 27th April 2017 at Villa San Crispolto in Umbria, Italy in a darling outdoor ceremony in the prettiest of gardens. With them was their adorable son, who also had a vital rose in the proposal. He looked perfectly in place with the groomsmen and groom Ben. The boys were totally rocking their burgundy chinos, bow ties and a mink jacket. So suave. Then there were the girls’ outfits. Kate chose a figure hugging long lace sleeve dress and metallic heels, while her two oldest friends wore burgundy lace frocks. Stunning!
There were also hints of rose gold in their day, alongside oodles of greenery, beautiful blooms and fun personal touches. It’s all so wonderful. Huge thanks goes to Brook Rose Photography for providing these gorgeous images.
THE PROPOSAL | 14.02.15. Mum and Kev’s 20th wedding anniversary meal in the Chinese restaurant they had their reception in. Sitting at dinner and in come these five giant boxes, one for each of my siblings… Mum and Kev say they haven’t got each other gifts as they wanted to do something for us, we open our boxes and out pops a balloon each, inside was Disney tickets… however my balloon was different to everyone else’s and had will you marry me? on it! When I turned round Ben was down on one knee with Harvey dressed in a Mummy, will you marry daddy? baby grow and the most beautiful ring! In front of my whole family… took some guts! I obviously said yes!

MEMORABLE MOMENTS | The ceremony, dancing non stop, I sang which is memorable for the wrong reasons haha – but seeing the room well up was really moving! Cutting the cake to “that’s Amore” so so cheesy and so so fantastic – everyone LOVED it! …Oh and jumping in the pool at 1am – seemed like a fabulous idea at the time.
ADVICE FOR OTHER COUPLES | Get prepared, a lot of what I was stressing about – the small things, I could have done in advance but left it late. Relax the night before, you have a long day ahead! Have an idea of how you want your wedding to go and enjoy the ride! It goes way too quickly!

FROM THE PHOTOGRAPHER | The wedding day was beautiful the brides and the bridesmaids woke up the morning of the wedding in the most stunning fairy tale setting of the bridal suite. The bride and grooms closest family and friends had all flown over to Italy to witness the marriage, making it that extra special. The outdoor ceremony over looked the most breathtaking Umbria view! The wedding reception was stunning the table decorations so beautiful really fitting the Italian style wedding. When it was time to cut the cake it wasn’t like an ordinary wedding cake cutting, it was brilliant and the atmosphere was vibrant everyone singing along and dancing to the song “that’s amore” really made it a memorable moment of the day. Kate (the bride) surprised everyone especially the groom with singing a romantic surprise song about their love story. It was truly beautiful! The night went on with everyone really having a fantastic day and dancing until late in the evening. After the sun had well and truly gone down, 1am to be presice, the bridal party thought it would be a fantastic idea to have a very early morning splash in the outdoor pool! This wedding was simply beautiful, and fun, and romantic. A truly unforgettable day.
Oh sooo romantic.
Kate and Ben, thank you both so much for allowing me to share your wonderful wedding here today xo Lou
