We have a gorgeous treat of a wedding for you today, lovely readers. Luisa and Alessandro’s nuptials were what dreams are made of – especially summers in Italy type-dreams. They were married on a warm July day at the Regina Teodolinda Villa, which overlooks brilliantly blue Lake Como. Their ceremony was held outside, naturally, and they exchanged vows under a grand arch with a bronze rusted effect, adorned with huge bunches of white hydrangeas and cream roses along with plenty of greenery. To say it was a breathtaking scene would be an understatement.
The reception featured a long wooden table with a white table runner, flowers as far as the eye could see, copper candlesticks and patterned china. I am seriously digging the eclectic and modern style they brought to the historic villa – it’s the perfect melting pot of old and new. They put a lot of effort and love into creating a vintage cigar bar and it looked absolutely fantastic with its cream couch, chandeliers, suitcases and personalised wooden signs. To finish their fabulous day, they cut their naked wedding cake under trees laced with fairy lights while their guests held sparklers – just perfection.

FROM THE PLANNER | The wedding of Luisa and Alessandro was a very intimate wedding with less than 50 people and we were able to concentrate on the details. Luisa and Alessandro got engaged in January and decided to get married on July 20 at Villa Regina Teodolinda, which is an intimate villa overlooking Lake Como.
Luisa was a very refined bride on her wedding day. She wore a white Jenny Packham dress with Swarovski crystals and silver Jimmy Choo sandals. Luisa and Alessandro love the finer things and simple colours. So, we decided to develop a botanical theme with a vintage touch using the colours green and white, making them edgy and inserting copper.
The ceremony was held in the garden of the villa overlooking the lake. We had installed an arch with a rusted effect, two white floral spots and dull green Ludovina where the celebrant married them with secular ritual. The table was 13 meters long and consisted of a white linen runner, flower pots, boxes with a rusted effect, spinning inside glass with flowers. The custom menu had a copper plate bearing the handwritten menu, then imprinted with a copper wire and a tag as place holders. We have reproduced a cigar bar with custom cigars, chandeliers hanging from an old ancient tree and various accessories including an old radio and an old brazier. The sweets table was framed by our gorgeous Lake Como and had vintage objects like a typewriter. To finish, the naked cake, with copper wire and the word “love”, was placed under illuminated trees.
