Sunday is fast becoming my fave day of the week (I mean hello Saturday?!), for many a reason; lazy mornings, roast dinners, long walks, not least because each and every week we get to feature the most incredible wedding ideas. Literally I have been pinching myself at the creativity that the UK wedding industry has to offer us, it’s just so inspirational. Editorial shoots such as this glorious set of images today, push those boundaries and create new trends and concepts for couples to include in their own weddings. This is exactly why I love to showcase them on Whimsical Wonderland Weddings.
This boho romantic shoot encapsulates a modern feel against the historic venue of Lillibrooke Manor & Barns. Proving again that no matter your location or your wedding style, you can always incorporate your own personality and styling. I am just loving the stylish outfits here, especially the Willowby Hester gown with it’s beautiful lace, long sleeves and bardot neckline. The hair and make up looks perfectly compliment the dress too, resulting in a stunning bohemian bridal look. Then there is the groom in the winning combo of bow tie, braces and chinos.
There were also burgundy tone florals, which hint to the Autumnal season, along with miniature cakes, a fabric and candle backdrop plus calligraphy stationery. All in all, this truly is an inspiring set of images all photographed so perfectly by Masha Unwerth.
This young boho meets modern romance styled wedding took place in the gardens of Lillibrooke Manor & Barns, in Maidenhead. The vision for the shoot was to embrace the greens of the beautiful gardens of Lillibrooke and embrace the charm, relaxed and romantic feel the Medieval Manor House brought naturally. I felt the passionate burgundy, creams and gold tones look fabulous against the greens of Lillibrooke Manor and red brick-washed walls of the barns, and I too love the gold-tone pair of goblet candle holders and fantastic pearl and crystal bridal headpiece by Jon Richard. The shoot included few of the vendors I have previously worked with and many details, two beautiful bridal hair styles and two different headpieces. Hair and makeup artist were on hand for the whole shoot to change and add to the looks and I can’t recommend Oksana Williams Hair and Make-up enough! We ran with drapery ceremony arch, hanging lanterns from the tree, and small glass and crystal accents to bring a complete look to the whole set up of the autumnal and cosy stylish outdoor wedding lounge. Hand-lettered invite and personal letter from the groom by Victoria Blum Calligraphy were perfect addition to collection details and the colour mismatched candles and oversized mirror added a DIY look to the shoot.
The weather was a little overcast yet we were lucky with fantastic light just before the sunset. Our bride and groom, Emily and Conan moved to Cloister Garden for a little photo shoot and we used the Lillibrooke old cart as a backdrop too!
Our florist, Kate (Lily & Myrtle) accentuated Emily’s bouquet with burgundy calla lily, pheasant feathers, and eucalyptus nicoli, inspired by the original moodboard and to embrace the ‘autumnal’ aspect a little more. Fabulous macaroons and mini cakes made by Gordana of Just Because Cakes showcased the lovely simple yet creative take on traditional wedding cake. The gold leaf crafted macaroons, and red velvet cake miniatures stood out complimenting the perfect piece of vintage tray. Oh, and how perfect is the hashtag of the shoot we have come up with?! #youaremylillibrookeoflove
