Well what a joy it has been to put together today’s feature. I feel as though I am right there in that secret garden of dreams in Hyde Bank Farm, basking in the glorious sunshine surrounded by blooms. Just heavenly!
This incredibly beautiful wedding ideas shoot was put together and shot by the brilliant Storyteller Photography, who wanted to create a bohemian wedding editorial set in the great outdoors. Romance, greenery and delicate styling aplenty. You will find so many ideas here, I defy you not to love the marble cake suspended under a foliage arch way. Oh my. Not to mention the perfectly dreamy bridal look and mismatched rustic furniture…
“This shoot had been in the pipelines for quite some time, and I had a team of some of my absolute favourite creatives on board. Working with such lovely and like-minded suppliers who were just as excited about it as I was, made the entire experience incredible.
The concept was to produce a romantic, English garden, foliage frenzied bridal shoot, with an essence of delicate boho style.
With this in mind, we knew it was always going to be an outdoor shoot. (Which being in the UK, we knew was a little risky!) But we were well and truly blessed with the weather – not a cloud in the sky all day!
The gorgeous gardens of Hyde Bank Farm provided us with the perfect backdrop for our shoot, with its breath-taking views looking out on to the Cheshire and Manchester countryside.
We wanted our colour scheme to reflect the elegance of an English summer in the countryside. So luscious greens, and hints of white and copper flowed throughout. The bouquet, flower crown, and floral décor was all rich in beautiful foliage, with ethereal touches of white and peach.
Seamlessly dressed from top to bottom with foliage, was the arch way. And underneath it, hung the beautiful and subtly marbled wedding cake, which was finished with a delicately crafted sugar floral wreath. A suspended wedding cake was something we really wanted to try out and it looked absolutely incredible. (Although I must say, the breeze definitely kept us on our toes!) That said, it would make a jaw-dropping centre piece at any wedding.
Our stunning ‘bride’ Stacey, was wearing a specially chosen Alfred Angelo wedding gown. Beneath it’s exquisite and lacy overlay was a satin slip, which complimented our romantic concept perfectly. In keeping with the boho vibe, she was wearing sandals, which almost make her appear barefoot. We kept her makeup subtle, and her hair down with gentle waves. The oversized, but still gentle, floral crown completed her look.
The stationery perfectly matched everything on our dressed table. With the calligraphy style fonts, and slightly accented papers, tying in seamlessly to our romantic concept. The sensational foliage garland ran the tables length, softly cascading over each end. And the textures of glass crockery and bottles, with wooden cutlery and place matts, were placed amongst each other to compliment our earthy wooden table and farmhouse style chairs.”
