Natural & Romantic Barn Elopement Ideas

I have got all the romantic feels courtesy of this barn elopement editorial, which is filled with gorgeous wedding ideas. The team behind today’s feature; FJS Wedding Photography and concept planner and stylist Sofia Weddings and Events decided to host the shoot at Kirby Farm Barn. The barn setting was divine and made the perfect intimate backdrop for two.

A sweetheart table was the perfect way for the bride and groom to celebrate after tying the knot. Simple, pared back and elegant décor really amplified the venue. There was stunning calligraphy stationery, natural flowing flowers, a gorgeous ruffled cake and beautiful attire to name just a few. I can’t possibly mention it all, that’s how gorgeous it all was. Oh the romance.

Barn Elopement Ideas

The tile of the photo shoot ‘Us’, describes exactly what we wanted to recreate. An intimate but important moment between the couple that would signify the beginning of their life together. If I had to summarise the inspiration behind this photo shoot in few words, I would use the gorgeous Pablo Neruda’s poem ‘If you can stay close to me’.

Ali and Dionne were able to bring this poem to life, and Nicki of FJS Photography has been absolutely amazing at capturing the story behind this gorgeous couple. Particularly when we see them walking in the field, you can almost hear what they are saying and giggling about, together.

Vows were written by the talented Sally and beautifully written with customised ink by Laura, the accessories created by Michelle complemented the overall tone of the shoot. The colour scheme was inspired by my neighbours gorgeous dahlias and through the transition of colours. I wanted to show also a transition of seasons between Summer, with the peach garden roses, to Autumn with the deeper colour of the dahlias and the Ester & Erik candles.

The gown chosen was Rasia by Morilee, with a long and detailed train which fit the venue and the shoot beautifully, opposed to a more relaxed groom’s style. The dress was the highlight, that would scream ‘look I am here’.
