A Romantic Cambridge Engagement

Petrina and Rommel are childhood sweethearts who moved to England to study business. So they decided to have their engagement shoot in romantic Cambridge. With punting along the river, and super sweet portraits in the fields, i fell a little bit in love.

Thanks so much to the fabulous Francesca DB Photography for sharing her images with us today, here is what she had to say about the day;

“Petrina and Rommel have known each other since they were 9 years old. They have always been very good friends until Petrina decided to move to England to study business in London. When she first got back to Malaysia, Rommel and Petrina met again and they both realised something had changed. Since then they have always been together and one year ago Rommel took Petrina out for dinner in Marina Bay Sands in Singapore to propose. They both love food and their friends say there couldn’t be a proposal more suited to them! :)

We decided to have their session done in Cambridge as Petrina has always loved the romanticism of this city.

We spent a lovely afternoon together and we jumped on a punt which was just so funny! Petrina is a knitting lover and the aqua cardigan she was wearing was made by her. When I met them in Market Square Petrina said: ” Rommel doesn’t really like having pictures taken”… I believe at the end of the day he changed his mind and loved it!

They are getting married in a month in Malaysia at the Church of St Francis Xavier, Petaling Jaya which is where they met as kids. The reception will be held in the Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur. 1000 guests have been invited and I wish I could squeeze in their luggage to photograph their wedding too!”

I hope you have the most wonderful wedding guys :-) thanks so much for sharing XOXO Lou
