A Beautiful Sunset Save the Date Film: Shot by the Couple Themselves

I want to share something a little bit special this afternoon :-)

I have been lucky enough to make friends with the lovely Harriet and Tim, thanks to this little blog. I’ve featured their photography on WWW before, and then we realised we lived 5 minutes apart! Cue some lovely lunches at the pub and lots of wedding talk :-)

Anyway, these two are getting hitched next year, and have been reading WWW for inspiration… yay!! So when they showed me their save the date film, at said pub lunch i died and went to wedded heaven.

They shot this themselves!!! Their photography business is called Draw Down The Stars, check it out quick ;-) and they are now offering save the date films as a part of their service.

Anyway, here it is for your viewing pleasure:

A bit about us:
We met 7 years ago in Welwyn, at the beging of this year we took a trip to New York, part for work, part holiday. We were staying over in Williamsburg and kept away from the madness of Manhattan. One evening, before heading to a show we took a walk in Brooklyn Bridge Park. The sun was setting and in the middle of snapping the amazing views of the city ( we are both photographers ) Tim set up one of the cameras on a bench. As he ran back with the timer going, he went down on one knee and proposed! It was a big shock and I burst into tears before definitely saying yes!

We made this video to send out to our friends and to be part of our wedding website for our guests, so will be coming from overseas, so this was a nice little extra to those getting our Save The Date cards through the post. We did it one evening, very close to where we live and was done all on tripods with us running about. It was also a little test for doing them as part of our own business at Draw Down The Stars – and now we are going to offer them as part of our couples and engagement shoots!

The wedding is next year in a little village hall, and will be a small, bunting filled affair with our closest friends and family.

Love, T&H x

Wasn’t that truly breathtaking? The light!! ! I still can’t believe they shot it themselves hehe.

Huge congratulations you two, i can’t wait to get to know you better and to see your wedding plans unfold!! :-) XOXO Lou
