2017 Wedding Flower Trends & Ideas

Whatever kind of celebration you’re planning, whether an intimate city affair or a rustic outdoor wedding in the countryside, it’s likely that florals will play a significant part in your day. Apart from your bouquet and table centres, there are lots of other ways to pretty up your venue with flowers and foliage. Whether you go for understated pastels or bold jewel colours, get inspired by these beautiful blooms! Here are the floral trends we are going to be seeing a lot more of this year, which will you be including in your plans?

Gathered from the Garden Style Bouquets

Forget fussy arrangements, this year is all about loosely styled, hand-tied bouquets which look just like they’ve been gathered straight from the garden. A variety of different blooms make these bouquets casual yet beautiful.

Pantone have chosen “greenery” as their colour of the year and we’re seeing it everywhere, from bouquets and crowns made entirely of greenery to towering trees and arches of green used as ceremony backdrops and subtle sprigs.

Eco-conscious Florals

Couples worried about the impact of their wedding on the environment don’t need to compromise on style. Whether it’s choosing locally grown flowers in season during your wedding month, using wildflowers or even dried and fake flowers, there are plenty of beautiful ways to be eco-conscious, you might even save some money.

  • This year’s wedding flower trends are more natural and not so complicated. Decorating with locally grown flowers or wildflowers for example gives much freedom to the decorator. For e personally the “Flowers in Hair” is the top trend of the year, I adore seeing a bride with fresh flowers in her hair.
