Afternoon WWWers, i have a really rather lovely treat for you today. Dessine-moi un soulier is a Paris based company who create the most delicious customisable shoes. Perfect for special events especially weddings… oh how i love the glitter pair above… swoon! Dessine-moi un soulier want to give 2 WWW readers the chance of a super saving on a pair of their gorgeous shoes. They are giving away two gift vouchers worth £100 and £50… amazing!
Dessine-moi un soulier (which translates to ”Sketch me a shoe”) was founded by the two French fashionistas and shoe lovers Alma and Juliette. They were both tired of never finding the shoes they were looking for or finding something that were almost right, but that would’ve been even better with some alteration. After some discussion they came to the conclusion that the best way to solve the problem was to do it themselves. Many months of hard work later, their online design studio was launched in September 2011. Since then, they offer women around France and the rest of the world the possibility to design their own shoes and have them produced by some of the best shoe makers in France.

The company offers five basic shoe models: ballerinas, pumps with pointed or round toe, high heeled and flat brogues, ankle or low cut boots or platform variants of all heeled models. Embellishments such as straps, bows or peep toe-options, together with a wide range of different style materials, makes sure each customer will be able to create her perfect design! (more…)

Are you still searching for the perfect photographer to capture your wedding memories forever? Well let me introduce you to the rather wonderful Howard Lucas, who is a wedding photographer based in Dorset, but is available throughout the UK and beyond…
{w} Hi Howard, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?
I’m Howard, a full time wedding photographer working throughout the UK and hopefully one day (soon) abroad. I live in the little seaside town of Swanage on the Jurassic Coast in Dorset with my wife and two young daughters. I like drinking coffee and making bread, usually to eat with cheese.

{w} What do you love/dislike about your job?
I love being part of the day itself, observing, to a certain extent taking part and always enjoying the fun, the joy and the emotions that inevitably surface. If there was one thing I dislike then its probably being away from my family when they are enjoying our local beach.

{w} How did you get into your business and into the wedding industry?
I’ve been really fortunate to find something I really love doing. It hasn’t been a straightforward journey having been pointed in a completely different direction from school by my careers adviser. This led me into marine engineering, motor racing, the music industry. During this time photography was always there. Once I started photography professionally I spent two years second shooting and assisting other photographers before I shot a wedding on my own. (more…)

{w} Hi Laura, could you firstly tell {www} readers a little bit about you?
Hi I’m Laura from Purple and Pearls. I live in Birmingham in the Jewellery Quarter, it’s a bit of a melting pot of old and new creative industries and it can be quite inspiring. I love designing and creating the perfect wedding stationery to suit your big day. I’ve got a selection of designs to choose from and also offer a bespoke service to create the perfect first impression when your guests open their invitation.

{w} What do you love/dislike about your job?
I’ve yet to come across anything I dislike about my job, cliché I know but I am loving every second. I love creating stationery to reflect the theme and personality of a couple’s wedding day. It’s also a wonderful feeling to receive feedback from clients who are delighted with their stationery.

{w} How did you get into the wedding industry?
Purple and Pearls started out as an online diary where I blogged about my wedding journey, coming from a graphic design background I knew I wanted to create my own invitations and stationery for my wedding. I loved creating my own stationery and after being asked to design invitations for other people I decided to combine my love of weddings and design to provide fun, unique and pretty stationery.
