Why hello there ;-) I am so pleased you popped by today for i have a crazy beautiful, funtastic wedding to share!!
Lyndsay and Matthew wanted a village fete feel to their day, with a homemade rustic vintage edge. This wedding has me in butterflies, from the Diana F cameras, to Lyndsay’s gorgeous tea length dress, the pastel balloons and the fun and games. This couple have thought of everything, elements to represent them and ways to have fun and make their wedding super pretty…. WOW!
Thanks so much to the fabulous UK based wedding photographer Sally T Photography, for sharing her images today, here is what she had to say about the day;
“I was OVER THE MOON when Matthew + Lynsey got in touch with me with their enquiry and told me about their day, i knew it’d be right up my street! They described a day of vintage/retro touches, sports day style games and lots of family and friends, but it surpassed what i was expecting. Matthew + Lynsey had thought and crafted every last detail as a real joint effort, including German market style cookie favours, heart shaped sugar cubes, instant film + typewriter guestbook and a sports day personalised trophy for the winner of the games! They were a fabulously cool couple who totally ‘get’ each other and i was thrilled to be a part of their wedding day. They even gave me a ‘construct your own’ pinhole camera to say thank-you! What more could i ask for!”
Donna and Iain had their wedding reception at the magnificent Glasgow City Halls, Fruitmarket.
I want my wedding reception here… *stamps foot*!! Isn’t’ it amazing!!?? What atmosphere, what presence, i love the lighting, the architecture…. i can almost here the echo of feet walking on those wooden floors and of newlyweds giggling…. sighhhhhh.
Anyway back to all the details this couple put into making their wedding day their own. I love the record place settings, the record sleeves table numbers and the cake…. that cake!!! EEkkkkssss.
Thanks so much again to Lisa Devine Photography for sharing her images with us today:
I do love a wedding with a real theme or personality behind it. Donna and Iain wanted a 60s/70s music inspired wedding with the lyric “all you need is love” as the theme…. as it’s special to them. And you know what, they bloomin’ well smashed it… it looks and feels amazing through this awe inpiring images and Donna’s gorgeous real wedding report.
I so love Donna’s 60s inspired wedding dress, made for her by Iain’s aunty… a family affair if i ever saw one :-)
Thanks so much to the fabulous Glasgow based wedding photographer, Lisa Devine Photography for sharing her work today, here is what she had to say about the day;
“It’s great meeting a bride & groom who know exactly what they want… and this certainly was the case with Donna & Iain. From the first meeting with them they were really clear, not only on the style of photography they wanted but on every other detail of their wedding day.
Lovers of everything and anything from the 1960′s and 1970′s the couple wanted to add a touch of that passion to their wedding…and they did…with real class!
I loved the mini 45′s they had as they’re place names, their favourite albums they had for their table names and the vintage beetle and old London bus they had as the wedding cars…this wedding was most certainly ‘up my street’.
To top it all off the wedding breakfast and reception venue is one of the most sought after in Glasgow and really stunning… all in all a photographers dream.”
The Proposal…
On the 23rd July 2009, on an island in the Maldives, with the Indian Ocean lapping at our feet! All very romantic!
