It’s Friday… yippee and Spring is certainly in the air. Helen and Rich were married in September of last year, but the pretty pastels in their wedding day makes it feel almost Spring like.
Helen and Rich chose the Cuckmere Barn in East Sussex as their wedding venue, which provides the most gorgeous setting for their informal, handmade day.
I so so love Helen’s pale green wedding dress, it’s refreshingly beautiful and bang on trend with this seasons pastel trends. I so love the rustic, countryside feel of the blooms and the handmade shabby chic touches they brought to their wedding.
Thanks so much to the amazing Tino and Pip Photography for sharing their images with us today, here is what they had to say about the day;
“As far as couples go, we’ve not met many as laid back as Helen and Rich! This really seemed to help their guests feel at home – Rich did a little dance in the recessional which made everyone giggle! It truly was a thoroughly relaxed affair – even when the rain came, everyone carried on inside the beautiful barn at The English Wine Centre without batting an eyelid! The home-made details like the bunting and flower girls’ baskets, plus Rich’s mum’s variety of cakes were gorgeous, and thoroughly in keeping with the rustic theme. An absolute pleasure – thanks so much guys, and congratulations again!”
Kirsty and Paul were married back in September in the beautiful Surrey countryside. This gorgeous couple wanted a traditional countryside wedding, incorporating Kirsty’s Italian roots and Paul’s Scottish background.
Kirsty looks exquisite in Jenny Packham, wow!! What a beautiful bride she makes. They wanted a pink and green colour scheme, which worked perfectly, with the colours used for their gorgeous maids and their charming reception. I love so much about this wedding, from the ribbons to the cheese cake, to the bunting and the wellies, this is one pretty, homemade wedding.
Thanks so much to the amazing London based wedding photographer, Rebecca Wedding Photography for sharing her gorgeous work today, here is what she had to say about the day;
“It was a super fantastic, fun & relaxed day! I even got to use my pink hunter wellies for the bride…Yay! Oh & look at the beautiful Jenny Packham dress! The detail on the shoulders of the dress sparkled during the ceremony it was truly magical! xx
The sweet ceremony was held at a cute church in Ewhurst, Surrey ~ followed with the reception at the stunning Coverwood Lakes just a couple of mins up the road.
There were lots of Italian touches {the brides family is Italian} Lots of Limoncello, Sambuca & the table names were all Italian including the top table ~ Baci {kisses ~ how cute!} Then also Scottish touches {from the grooms side} with lots of Kilts & a proper Ceilidh band & lots of dancing!”
This wedding is set in the most stunning of backdrops.… the Highlands in Scotland, with spectacular views, why wouldn’t you marry outside here :-)
I love the wedding under the tree, isn’t it romantic, the tartan, the amazing reception room… the chandeliers!!! Mora and David kept their day, simple, relaxed and oh so elegant.
Thanks so much to the brilliant Scottish based wedding photographers, First Light Weddings, here is what they had to say about the day;
“Moira and David were really keen to have a relaxed, outdoor wedding with everyone enjoying themselves. We talked a lot beforehand about how they wanted the photography to be unobtrusive and just capture the ease, light and happiness of the day. Neither of them are hugely keen on having their photo taken, so we made sure to keep the formal photography to a minimum and focus on capturing all the happy moments and pretty details.
Moira and David were so nice and easy-going – they completely trusted us on the day to photograph their wedding the way they wanted it. The whole day was so happy and sunny and very relaxed – just as they had hoped for.”
This wedding feels so pure, so natural and so full of love.
Grace and Brian wanted a nature themed wedding, with all things rustic, local and homemade. Grace looks beautiful in a Jenny Packham number, clutching a natural bouquet of blooms, and how yummy are those cakes looking?!! :-)
Thanks so much to the amazing Ireland based wedding photographer, Julie Cummins Photography for sharing her work today, here is what she had to say about the day;
“Grace & Brian Hayden’s wedding took place on 22nd July 2011. They had a civil ceremony and reception in The Millhoue, Slane, Co Meath (approx 1 hour from Dublin) (www.themillhouse.ie) (The Millhouse is as it sounds, an old Millhouse! Janey Quigley, the owner, has renovated part of the property into an amazing quirky venue for weddings, but for the moment has left the rest of the place as it was.….. which is great for photographs!!!! There’s lots of old warehouses surrounding the property too and as it runs alongside the River Boyne, it creates a great contrast of ‘pretty and gritty’)
All of the detail photos attached have been made by Grace & Brian. Grace is a horticulturist and so wanted the wedding to have a ‘nature’ theme, using lots of wood, plants,and gorgeous flowers.”
Afternoon ;-) I hope you have enjoyed today’s features thus far… although i may well have saved best for last this Friday afternoon.
Hayleigh and Dan created a shabby chic wonderland, complete with juicy green apples.… everywhere! And i heart it. Everything has been styled to perfection, but without over doing it. Using apples or other fruit is such an inexpensive yet striking way to decorate your wedding venue.… i think you will like this one.
Thanks so much again to Gemma Williams Photography for sharing her work today, there are some incredible shots here.…
