Hello lovelies…. hope you are having an amazing weekend. Now i know it’s a bank holiday BUT i have 79 draft posts to feature on this little wedding blog, so i just cannot help myself but keep bringing you wedding pretty. And with the holiday vibe, i thought i’d bring some sunshine in the form of a destination wedding.
This post comes with a health warning: if you are considering a destination wedding, this will most certainly convince you to go for it. I don’t think i have ever seen more stunning images from a destination wedding than i have from today’s real wedding feature. The views of Santorini are incredible, this must be the most beautiful place to get married in the world.
Bride Tracy looks stunning, i particularly love her birdcage veil… such a great idea for the warm climate too.
Enough from me, i shall let the images do the talking! Thanks so very much to the amazing Sheffield based wedding photographer, S6 Photography for sharing his images today, here is what he had to say about the day;
“I love to travel for weddings, I tend to do a few destination weddings every year and Santorini is the first up this year. Most people don’t seem to know where it is, well I can tell you its in Greece! Paul from Roar Photography brought me out shoot his wedding at Suites of The Gods. Such an awesome location, such an awesome wedding. If you’re reading this, and liking this, and plan on getting married out in Greece or anywhere, then get in touch, I’d love to come….“
The Proposal….
We met on a snow boarding trip to Val d’Isere and 12 months later Paul proposed to me at the top of the mountain in a small resort called Chamrousse in the French Alps, it was beautiful and I was almost speechless! After checking that he was serious, he produced a beautiful ring that he had designed himself so I knew he wasn’t joking, I said yes, cried and flew down the mountain on my snowboard to tell the world!
The Vision for the day….
We really wanted a small relaxed wedding that our guests would enjoy and for everyone to enjoy the stunning views and hot weather.
Wow weeeeeeeeee…. i do love a good dose of wedding inspiration, this time brought to you by an amazing team of creative wedding professionals, what an honour to be able to share such beauty.
I adore this Matthew Williamson dress and the rustic bouquet and of course the stunning photography.
Thanks so much to the amazing West Midlands based wedding photographers, Billingham Photography for sharing their images, here is what they had to say about the shoot;
‘First of all we love a challenge and we loved every minute of this shoot, we had seen this location from a far a few times in the past and we have always wanted to shoot there and we ended up doing that by chance.
On a late rainy Saturday afternoon we got together with the lovely Annie of Tallulahs Trinkets who got this amazing ‘Matthew Williamson dress’ supplied by The Wedding Club. As soon as we saw the dress we all were thinking how grecian goddess-like it was, so the shoot needed to be minimilstic and natural to compliment the dress and headpieces, our model Susan did a fantastic job of holding herself with grace and elegance.
Annie’s headpieces complimented the dress beautifully and they looked made for each other, each headpiece is handcrafted using swarovski crystals, freshwater pearls and reworked vintage jewellery, the pieces caught the light beautifully.
The gorgeous rustic bouquet was created by Flowers of Kidderminster, with Sunflowers, poppies, chinese lanterns and wild grasses hand-tied together with natural raffia.’
I have an exquisite bridal inspiration shoot to share this morning, organised and created by the amazing Always Andri Wedding Design and captured by the fabulous Fiona Kelly Photography.
I so love the ethereal, pretty, British feel with a Grecian twist thanks to the stunning wedding dress. I love the delicate garlands, the florals with a hint of blue, the glass bottles and that seriously beautiful cake. All in all this shoot is a runaway success and i think it gives pure inspiration to all you planning couples out there. This is the ultimate in pretty and mysterious wedding inspiration…. swoooonnnn.
Here is what Andri had to say about the shoot;
“The beautiful silk chiffon ‘Isadora’ wedding dress was what first attracted me to Sally Lacock’s designs so it was a delight to be able to use it for the shoot and Sarah complemented the dress with a fabulous up do and glamorous makeup- Terri’s eyes looked amazing! With the very distinctive antique gold colour we decided to stick to a neutral colour palette with pops of blue shades in the flowers and strip back to a very minimal look with the décor making the most of The Walled Garden’s lovely wrought iron gazebo and furniture.”

This beautiful and fresh wedding is sure to give you that warm fuzzy feeling inside. It’s lovely to see a bride and groom that bring together a family when they get married and that have children together. I think it makes the day that little bit more special, espcially for the children. The beautiful bride Clare looks stunning in her relaxed Grecian wedding dress and vintage style wedding look. I love the flowers placed in her and the bridesmaid’s hair. Moxhull Hall provides the perfect backdrop to the garden themed wedding, relaxed and beautiful. Thank you so much to the lovely Jo Hastings for sharing her amazing images and to the bride Clare for sharing her report of her big day…take it away Clare :-)
The Proposal….
Mark and I have been together for 5 years. We had two gorgeous girls between us Megan 13 and Maisie 8. I was pregnant with our third and it was my birthday. Mark went shopping with my mum and together the went to a local jeweller and choose my diamond (without me knowing of course) and on my birthday he popped the question much to my surprise hidden in a shoe box along with my presents…there it was. Wow!
“Jane & Ben got married at The Larmer Tree Gardens, Tollard Royal, Salisbury on the 13th August 2010! We started our day at the beautiful Launceston Farm B&B, which is just down the road from The Larmer Tree. Here we took some photographs of Jane and her family getting ready. We also had a good wander around Launceston Farm as the rooms are stunning and the setting so peaceful! Jane & Ben fell in love with The Larmer Tree the first time they saw it and new that it was going to be the ideal venue for their relaxed and fun wedding celebrations. Despite the showers, nothing was going to stop Jane going barefoot and walking across the lawn with her dad and sister into the General’s room where their ceremony took place. Following the ceremony we went off around the gardens with Jane and Ben, whilst guests sipped champagne by the Roman Temple. In the afternoon, tea was served and everyone enjoyed games on the lawn. The speeches took place by the singing theatre, where guests gathered on deckchairs and was followed by dancing. Jane and Ben’s first dance was to ‘You’re just to good to be true’ by Andy Williams played by the ‘Stour Valley Stompers’- a 7 piece Trad Jazz Band. Following a game of rounders everyone made their way to The Pavillion where a hog roast was served and more dancing followed!”
Take it away Jane….
