Fun, Colourful + Alternative Bridal Inspiration ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Lets have some fun this morning, with a burst of colour and alternative wedding inspiration.

The lovely Sharon Cooper, contacted me after organising and shooting this brilliant bridal shoot to see if i wanted to share it… erm yes please!! Hehe!

I love the vintage styling with a colourful twist and isn’t the model with blue hair is looking fabulous? I adore the quirky accessories from Beau Buttons and What Katy Did Next and the cute vintage style wedding dresses from Look Darling. Ps look out for a competition this lunchtime with one of these amazing suppliers :-)

Thanks so much to Sharon Cooper Photography for sharing her images with us today. Here is a little more about the shoot;

“Imagine a Wedding bouquet that really does last forever, to be turned, examined and loved over and over.  After discovering the bouquets made out of buttons, on the internet, Wedding Photographer, Sharon, was smitten.  Sharon began following Emma’s website and blog, and started Pinning images of Beau Buttons bouquets, hoping one of her brides would choose one. “For anyone with a deep-rooted love of vintage these gorgeous bouquets, made by Emma of Beaubuttons, are a must.” says Sharon.

Via Twitter, Sharon realised, that the maker of the bouquets was (like Sharon) based in Herts, she got in touch and this beautiful photoshoot is the result! One of Sharon’s skills is being able to make things happen, by networking and engaging others.
Various wedding suppliers kindly loaned and even made pieces for this shoot.  Sharon says “It is just so fulfilling…  I love doing something that involves lots of people, there’s nothing I am more passionate about than making people happy with my photography.”
Using some amazingly beautiful VW campervans and two gorgeous models, Sharon created her vision for the shoot.  The idea was rural location; 50’s wedding dresses with splashes of colour, matching and inspired by the Snailtrail’s colourful VW campervans.  “I wanted photographs to show off the whimsical, fun, quirky bouquets” added Sharon.  The dresses and the red headwear, and the pop of Flo’s blue hair gave the rainbow bouquet images a really eye catching look.  The turquoise colour co-ordination made a tasty treat, and even included a fur coat belonging to the photographer’s assistant.  Model Flo felt right at home with one of the campers who shared her name!”

An English Country Festival Wedding with Oriental Touches

An English Country Festival Wedding with Oriental Touches ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Morning and happy Monday! To start the week off with a bang i have a stunning wedding to share with you, featuring some incredibly beautiful photography.

Tina and Roy were married in Oxfordshire, in a beautiful village church followed by a Marquee reception. They wanted to create a country festival feel to their wedding, adorned with beautiful natural blooms and oriental touches.

Tina wore 2 amazing dresses and looked oh so beautiful, whist Roy looked very dapper in a slim fit suit and simple black tie.

I so love all the details and touches Tina and Roy put together, but most of all i love how utterly absorbed in one another they are. What a beautiful love story.

Thanks so much to the brilliant Fazackarley Wedding Photography for sharing his amazing images with us today.…

Morning WWWers, i hope you are having a great weekend.

I have had the best of weeks, with some great features on the blog, and WWW bride Adeline getting hitched yesterday.…wohooo!! Not only that but it was my birthday on Friday and G is off work at the moment. Anyway i thought today i’d share some of my instagram and vsco cam iphone piccies, i hope you likey :-)

On Tuesday i popped into Primark and picked up a couple of cute dresses (above) whilst wearing my bow and bun (above) hehe!

On Wednesday we headed off to Milton Keynes for a bit of retail therapy. A year ago i struggled to go, but this year it was so much easier and we had a great time. We did treat ourselves to some bits, i invested in a fantastic new foundation, which i will be talking about soon. I picked up a really cute blouse in Zara and some new shoes (below), which G treated me to for my birthday.

I am pretty weird in that i worry over my birthday because of my anxiety. I don’t enjoy surprises, so i get uncomfortable when i have gifts and am always worried about the social pressure side of things. But i had a great day. I got the cutest card from G (above) yummy birthday cake (above) a shellac manicure (below) which i will be chatting to you about soon, and way too many treats to be honest. I am far to spoilt! Thanks for all of the birthday wishes on facebook and twitter, it was a lovely day. Doesn’t 26 sound that bit older though?! ;-) hehe!!

Anyway with all these new and pretty naughty purchases i may have to do a little fashion blogging again :-) From the feedback i recieved I think you enjoyed that little feature hehe!

An Urban Sports Car Engagement in Austin

An Urban Sports Car Engagement in Austin ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Happy international Saturday :-)

I have a set of unusual images today, with Mike and Christine focusing their engagement shoot partly around their Lotus.… a sporty little number of a car which i know G in particular has a thing for hehe!

I love this set of images as it reminds me of films such as Drive or Fast and Furious… its always such a great idea to focus your engagement shoot around your passions. I know if G had his way he’d want one to do with fast cars too!

Not only is this shoot set around their car, but some modern and urban landscapes and architecture which really sets the tone.

Thanks so much to Cory Ryan Photography for submitting his work via Two Bright Lights to me, here is what he had to say about the shoot;

“Mike and Christine currently reside in Boston, but are getting married in the Phillipines this fall! They went all out and rented a Lotus to live it up while in town for meetings with wedding vendors, so we took advantage of the sweet ride and used it as a prop in a bunch of these! We shot all around east Austin alleys and in front of artist murals, and then ended up on the top of a downtown parking garage. Christine was smoking hot in her sexy red dress, and I swear she looks like a professional model! Because the couple was from out of town, utilizing the Austin skyline in their save the dates was a must. I’ve always wanted to shoot engagement photos on the colored light floor at The Long Center, so we took advantage of this location’s double duty awesomeness. I can’t wait for next fall to be here so we can shoot together again!”
