Today’s wedding screams love, fun and well more fun!
I love Jon and Tammy, they are totally in love, and focused on the marriage rather than the day. They wanted their guests to have so much fun, and from these images i believe they did.
This couple wanted their wedding to be influenced by childhood parties, royal celebrations, woodland adventures and lovebird twee, and what a vision… i love it. A balloon lined aisle, bunting, love birds scattered all around and seaside portraits…. yipppeeeee.
Thanks so much to the brilliant One Thousand Words Photography for sharing their work today;
Names…. Jon and Tammy
Wedding Date…. 6th August
The Proposal…. Secluded cove in the Algarve
The Vision for the day…. The Love of God and lots of fun
The Planning process…. We had a year to plan and lots of creative friends as willing accomplices in the planning process
The idea was to make the day as fun and celebratory as possible without losing site of the epic enormity at the core. We hoped to blend elements of childhood parties, royal celebrations, woodland adventures and lovebird twee.
The Venue… Vast, ornate, gothic style town centre church decked out with balloons, bunting, prayer tree, origami lovebirds, cupcakes, tea cups, red carpet, DJ in the pulpit and one of our closest friends leading the marriage service.
Reception: Rustic 3 storey converted Mill in a small sleepy village surrounded by fields, farm, river and countryside – Once more decked out with balloons, bunting, birds, and badges. Woodland table décor fun candy stripe party bag favors filled with our favourite sweets, treats and personalised badges.
The Dress + Accessories….. Self adapted secondhand Ebay bargain and jewellery made by my Dad (he’s a professional jeweller – lucky me!)
Finding the dress…. Thrilling Ebay auction with my bridesmaid!
Groom’s attire… Sharp skinny suit with homemade tie, hanky and boutonniere.
The Readings + Music…. 1 John 4v 7-12, 16 (NLT) Entrance: Our own remix of Poppiholla by Chicane, I Stand Amazed, Beautiful One, How great thou art. Exit: All you need is love – The Beatles.
Beautiful bridesmaids….. Dresses handmaid by me for my beautiful bridemaids.
The Flowers… Homemade bouquets by bride
The Honeymoon…. Crete and Athens with a spot of island hopping in between
Memorable moments… Soundsytem failing as bride arrives to make her entrance, few extra minutes of tension building before it kicked in again! The service! Photoshoot on Bournemouth pier (beset with strangers’ cheery congratulations) Unexpected sunshine at the end of a blustery week. The red arrows practising manoeuvres in the skies above!
Advice for other couples… Don’t let the enormity of it all distract you from the point of it all: Love.
Thanks so much to Jon and Tammy for sharing their amazing wedding with us today, i so love these two… it’s all about their love xoxo
