Following on from our lead up to Christmas gift guide with Etsy, today I thought I’d share my proper Christmas wish list. The things I am lusting and loving, which would quite frankly be really rather lovely if Father Christmas dropped off under the tree this Christmas Eve. Whether you are a blogger, small business owner, mummy or stylish babe, these ideas will be perfect for you. I mean why wait for Christmas? You could even treat yourself, you have been good this year after all…
So here are those uber luxe gifts that I could only dream of receiving. But a girls gotta dream right?!
I have a real thing for Oxblood hues this season and this Mulberry satchel ticks all the luxe and beautiful boxes. To travel in style, this Ted Baker suitcase will mean all my possessions will be protected and look so gorgeous too en route to pretty destinations.
I’ve seen such great reviews for the new Dyson hair-dryer, who doesn’t want a quick and quiet hair drying session? Plus it’ll look so chic and modern on your dressing table. I am sure all the family will be pinching it too. Of course a watch had to make my gift list and this cashmere roll neck and over the knee boots have my name all over it. They’d really make an Autumn/Winter wardrobe don’t you think?
I really have been terrible at making purchases for myself this year, especially on the beauty front thanks to our house renovations taking priority. My skin and my make up drawer really could do with some TLC to be honest. I am not a huge make up junkie, mainly due to my sensitive combination skin (hello eczema and chin acne) and lack of time to apply said make up in the mornings. Usually I am dashing around getting the children ready for school, checking my inbox and finally throwing on my clothes and cleansing and moisturising. My routine is super simple, but I would like to introduce an SPF to my daily moisturiser. I use Aveeno all the time, but I really need to get protecting my skin, this Kiel’s face cream has great reviews online for sensitive skin types.
My go to fragrance has been Jo Malone’s Sea Salt and Wood Sage since G bought if for me for Christmas last year. I still love it so. It makes me feel so special each time I wear it. My highlighter has just run out after having owned it for what feels like ages. Yves Saint Laurent’s Touche Eclat is a classic and lasts forever, it’s a must have sweep and go product for me.
Now for a little treat, I have been lusting over an Urban Decay Naked eye pallet for forever. I haven’t really experimented with eye shadow before and don’t use it really. So this would be great for the festive season. Plus my nails haven’t had a pro manicure all year. In fact I’ve probably painted my finger nails only a few times, what with trying to apply properly, waiting for it to dry and then chipping within hours I ended up giving up on it. I haven’t had the time to go to the salon, so I am thinking my own gel nail kit would be the perfect solution.
I’ve had a Diptyque candle on my interior hit list forever now. I have no idea which scent I’d like but I’ve only heard great things, plus the glass jar is perfect for decoration when you’ve used up the candle itself. Win win.
We could really do with a sweet stool for our new bathroom, perfect for towel/clothes draping and adding interest. And OK, so this is cheating slightly. We already have a Kitchen Aid, but it’s literally the best for any bakers out there so I had to recommend it, plus it looks awesome in the kitchen. Talking of kitchen items, we really need a new chopping board. I love the idea of these separate Joseph Joseph boards, genius!
For a good few months now I have made sure I am drinking at least 2 litres of water a day. My skin has improved loads, my energy levels increased and my tired headaches gone. I got a large bottle on Amazon for at home, but this smaller chicer bottle would be perfect for outings. Talking of health, I am pleased to report I have finally started to enjoy running and am feeling super proud of myself. I just need the gear to keep me going during the week now.
Then there are these cute glitzy hair bands, which would really brighten up my usual boring ponies. This jewellery tidy is just what I need for my new dressing room, I love an organiser. And this pouch can be used as a clutch, for travelling or even to pop bits into a larger bag. Perfect.
I am one for being comfortable and practical. Give me warm slippers and a pom pom beanie any day over a pair of heels. So my Christmas wish list always features the softest of socks, fluffy pyjamas for those chilly nights and toasty slipper booties.
This year I am also on the hunt for some thermal layers for Sundays spent at the football sidelines watching my son and hopefully snowy days plus I’ve been after a pair of touch screen gloves so I can type whilst keeping my talons cosy.
Right, that’s my list sorted. Now I am going to casually leave this page open for anyone to see… ;-)
Happy festive shopping lovelies xo Lou
