I am so excited by this afternoons bridal shoot. Its something a little more unusual, focusing rather than on inspiring details, but inspiring emotion.
The shoot was set at The Glasshouse, with a plethora of incredible suppliers and beautiful styling. I adore the artistic, serene feel to this set of photographs. Not to mention some beautiful hair and make up inspiration for you brides.
Thanks so much to the amazing India Hobson for sharing her images with us today, here is what she had to say about the shoot;
“The story behind The Glasshouse is a simple one – I wanted to bring together some of my favourite bridal suppliers & artists to create something beautiful, organic & timeless. The Botanical Gardens in Sheffield has been a constant source of inspiration to me for years & it served as a stunning backdrop for each garment – bringing the colours together and providing me with unlimited texture, as well as natural light.
I always encourage my brides to take a deep breath before they get started – and again later when I’m shooting portraits of newly-weds; that moment alone is an escape, a chance to breathe, take it all in and be together. In The Glasshouse I aimed to create a sense of freedom, sensuality and an altogether blissful moment.”

I thought i’d be really cheeky and pop an extra wedding up this afternoon ;-) I couldn’t resist hehe!!
Gemma and Arthur were married in May at The Bay Hotel in Burford. They wanted their wedding to be small, simple and set in the Coltswolds. They tried to keep their budget low by being creative and roping in their friends to help.
I adore Gemma’s bridal bun, how stylish does she look, her Naomi Neoh dress is just beautiful too. I love the white colour scheme, the maids look so pretty with their simple yet beautiful blooms. This is one super pretty country wedding, le sigh.
Thanks so much to the lovely Renira and Jane Photography for sharing their photography with us today.

Oh i do like to be beside the seaside :-)
Emily and Prash have a beautiful love story… they met whilst working for the same charity in their gap year, and will be having a multicultural wedding.
I love their engagement shoot beside the sea, the sunlight, the pebbles, the boats bobbing in the water, oh how i am dreaming of summer days with a sea breeze right now.
Thanks so much to the fabulous Alexa Loy Photography for sharing her gorgeous images with us today.

Photographer Alexa tells me “Emily and Prash met when they were working for the same charity on their gap years. They lived and worked together in a remote village in northern India, and then fell in love and travelled together all over India! So sweet! Prash in from London and Emily is from Chichester and they both live in North London now – they are getting married in August at Upwaltham Barns near Chichester.”

Jonathan and Shirley were married in March at the stunning location of Prussia Cove in Cornwall. They had the most relaxed and charming seaside wedding. I love the homemade feel to the day with family helping out with all the cute decorations and details.
I adore the subtle green theme to the day, which is fresh and vibrant. I have to also mention the super cute VW van, and those sunset portraits, simply sublime.
Thanks so much to One Thousand Words Photography for sharing their beautiful imagery today.

Now I have to be the most unlucky person ever, no matter how many times I enter anything I never win well until I started entering competitions for our wedding. So far we have won 80 cupcakes, an Alphabet Bag, some Vera Wang perfume, and £500 worth of stationary.
Blogs, Magazines, Forums, and Social Networking sites are all fabulous ways of finding out about competitions. I would urge everyone not to hesitate to enter any you come across that may be relevant to your big day. We have so far saved a small fortune and get to work with some fantastic suppliers that we may not have otherwise come across.
Our cupcakes were won on Brides Up North blog, we were a week away from booking a huuuuge cake and I got a wonderful email off of Julia from Brides Up North telling me I had won 80 Fancie cupcakes for our wedding day. I absolutely adore Fancie cupcakes, a Sheffield based company who are set to take over the (cupcake) world, they are my little guilty pleasure and my little girl has one of their mini cupcakes every time we go to Meadowhall and it seems so fitting they will be a part of our big day. I’ve also booked a little version (3 tier) of the cake we were going to have as I absolutely adore it from Yummy Little Cakes.
I won a fabulous Alphabet bag on Far From The Wedding Crowd in the first week giveaways on there and the Vera Wang perfume was won on You and Your Wedding in their competitions section. I have kind of used both of these already and the Alphabet Bag is my new fave accessory and is super handy having a 2 year old crap to lug about all the time. The perfume I have kind of a little bit used it all up maybe!! But shhh don’t tell the groom just be our little secret ;-) (more…)
