Happy international Saturday!!
I so love the intimacy between Nate and Luisa, you can just see the love radiating from them both. And the stunning light and backdrop of the desert just makes for a stunning set of images.
Thanks so much to the awesome Sachin Khona Photography for sharing his work today, here is what he had to say about the shoot;
“I met Nate just under 2 years ago and Luisa finally just over 2 weeks ago. Nate lives in Star, Idaho and since we met, Nate and I have become good friends, discussing our photography businesses together and dreams regularly via skype & facetime.
We all hung out together during a photography conference in Las Vegas recently and I had the opportunity to shoot a session for the both of them in the desert.
It was so great to be around the both of them. They are so in love and to capture it on camera is exactly why I love what I do.”

I love the story behind this shoot. Betty and Seng were married in London last year but before leaving the UK they decided to have some photographs taken as a memento of their time here. They told their photographer they wanted to capture the atmosphere of the film “Before Sunrise” with the images, {puts on must watch list} which creates the sweetest set of images.
Thanks so much to the fabulous Victoria Phipps Photography for sharing her images with us today, here is what she had to say about the shoot;
“Betty and Seng make such a sweet couple. He is from Bangkok, she is from Shanghai, but they met entirely by chance in London. They fell in love and three years later tied the knot there! They had three weddings in total (quite greedy, but why the hell not?!). The first was in London last Summer and this quiet ceremony was followed by two more celebrations in Shanghai and Bangkok. Shortly after their british wedding, as they were on the verge of leaving the city which had brought them together, they both decided they wanted a series of photographs to mark their time together in the UK.
I had never seen the film “Before Sunrise” until the night before the shoot, but Betty and Seng both said this was the atmosphere they wanted to encapsulate in their photographs. The film is super romantic! Essentially it is about a boy and a girl meeting for the first time and exploring a city; walking, talking and laughing together as though they had all the time in the world…”

I seriously swooned over these beautiful images when they landed in my inbox at the end of last year.
A gorgeous couple, with vintage feel attire… a J Crew dress, which quite frankly is exquisite. All set by a beautiful harbour, and not forgetting a super cute VW Beetle, this post wedding shoot is just perfect viewing.
Thanks so much to London and Suffolk based wedding photographer, Anna McCarthy Photography for sharing her images with us today, here is what she had to say about the shoot;
“Sometimes you meet people in life and immediately find common ground, know where each other is coming from and hit it off, and as a photographer, when this happens with a new client it is a joy. Jojo was one such client. As she described to me what she was looking for in her post wedding images, I quickly realized that we both have a similar aesthetic which enabled me to get inside her head and visualize the look and feel she wanted but also to have the confidence that I could inject the session with my own creativity and interpretation with every chance of her loving the results. This was brought home to me further when I visited her home getting an insight into Jojo’s individual taste and style – essentially a love for the quirky and vintage within a clean (preferably white) natural palette – which is why Duncan also could not have got it more perfect with a white vintage Beetle car as a wedding present to her!
My aim with wedding photography is primarily to create aesthetically beautiful images but crucially to tell the story of a couple’s days in pictures. Getting across emotion is also very important within the storytelling. I want my images to move especially my wedding images. But shooting someone’s wedding is also all about anticipating and capturing moments under the pressure of time. There is no second take, no messing about. You have to capture it as it happens and you only get one chance.
With a post wedding shoot, you have much more freedom all round. You have none of those time pressures, you are not held to a list of must haves, you are not dealing with the unpredictable in the same way. This frees you up to get really creative and for your subject to totally relax into the session. You can choose the location, when you venture out to take advantage of the optimum natural light and then take your time on the shoot itself.
Up in Suffolk where I am partly based (I also have a base in London and photograph weddings and families there and all over the country) we are spoiled for choice for fabulous locations. For this shoot we beetled down to Ramsholt on the River Deben and to the stunning landscape and arable land that surrounds Ramsholt church inland. We spent a very relaxed and fun couple of hours messing about with the box brownie camera on top of the Harbour Master’s boat ‘Redcap’, sauntering along the costal path before heading inland along the country lanes and into the fields as the sun set in a typical vast Suffolk sky.
What I love about the results is how all the elements came together within the images: the vintage elements (the car, clothes, box brownie, suitcases, Duncan’s hat, JoJos shoes and fascinator, the boat), the natural landscape (simple, timeless and providing the perfect backdrop to my subjects with the gentle greens, browns and yellow hues within it), the light and time of day we were able to take advantage of, the vibe and real connection between Jojo and Duncan themselves and their ability to be themselves and in the moment together and to have fun whether playacting a Bonnie and Clyde moment of running towards their ‘getaway’ car or lying in the grasses staring at the sky in the perfect silence around them, and finally the relationship between all three of us in those few hours.
How could I fail? A post wedding photographic shoot made in heaven…
Except perhaps just one slightly tense moment when I discovered half way home that I had left one of my £2000 cameras in the middle of a field and had to race back in the fast fading light with no torch to hand to retrace my steps and retrieve it. Might not have had the same luck if I had been in the middle of Hyde Park but here in rural Suffolk, there it was lying silently just where I left it… and thankfully with JoJo’s and Duncan’s pictures on the card within it!
I so love this whimsy post wedding shoot set in the woods, with a cute tea party. Angie and Rob are artists and wanted to reflect their personalities in the shoot, i love their outfits, especially their head wear :-)
Thanks so much to the brilliant Morgan Wiltshire Photography for sharing their work today, here is what they had to say about the shoot;
“Angie and Rob had a simple, spontaneous wedding and I was delighted when Angie contacted me asking for some photographs. We met up in October to do a post-wedding shoot so that Angie and Rob could have some photographs to share with family and friends.
We spent the day at Royden Park on the Wirral and we couldn’t have asked for a better day to photograph, strolling around the lovely gardens and woodland in some beautiful autumn sunshine. They both looked stunning and it was a pleasure to capture some relaxed and timeless images for the couple to cherish for years to come.”
I think it’s always nice to have a shoot even after you are married, to get some updated images and memories :-) After all we change so much, in style and in our relationships with one another.
I so do love this sweet session in London, a relaxed stroll around and some fun in the rowing boats. Thanks so much to the fabulous wedding photographer, Kinver Miles Photography for submitting her images, here is what she had to say about the shoot;
“Luke and Lauren got married in Australia last year but wanted a shoot in London as they’ve lived here for nearly 10 years, it was an absolutely amazing session and they are one of the nicest couples I’ve had the pleasure of photographing, they were so much fun and totally in love! We headed into Richmond as this is a spot they like to hang out in and we just laughed and messed around. I want to wish them all the luck for their future together and say thanks for being so much fun to photograph.”
