A Colourful Vietnamese Tea Ceremony Wedding ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Wendy and Michael are back this afternoon gracing WWW’s colouful pages, yay! They married in April with a traditional Vietnamese Tea Ceremony at Wendy’s family home, followed by a reception at China Boulevard, London.

Wendy had two wedding dresses on the day, with a beautiful vibrant blue Vietnamese dress and a Monsoon dress for the evening. Michael went for a slim fit Marks and Spencers suit with tan shoes. Ahh they look amazing.

I am head over the heels for the pretty bridesmaids dresses, the DIY touches and the pure emotion of the day.

Thanks so much to the brilliant Miki Photography for sharing his photography with us today.

A Fun Crafty Multicoloured Barn Wedding

A Fun Crafty Multicoloured Barn Wedding ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

WWW readers Jules and Gregg married in April 2013 at Swancar Farm Country House, Nottinghamshire. They wanted their colour fest wedding to represent them as a couple and the things they love. Therefore music, travel and fun was order of the day.

Jules wore a gorgeous Rosetta Nicolini creation with her glossy hair half up half down, while Gregg opted for a Moss Bros suit with pink accessories. The bridesmaids looked pretty in purple, while the groomsmen went for multicoloured socks for a fun colour pop.

They got crafty, creating a colourful reception room, with pom poms, kraft paper stationery, ribbons and sweets galore. Amazing.

Thanks so much to the wonderful Natalie J Weddings for sharing her photography with us today.

“I’ve known Jules for a good number of years, since I was a student studying for my photography degree at University, and we would regularly see each other during nights out at the infamous Nottingham Rock City. Though I graduated almost 6 years ago and moved to London soon after, Jules and I kept in contact through the wonder that is Facebook and I was utterly honoured when she asked if I would photograph her wedding to her long-term beau, Gregg. Of course, I said I would and we kept in regular contact for the next 8 months discussing Jules’ amazing ideas for the wedding. My definite favourite had to be her desire to have lots of red love-heart balloons for photos, though on the day itself this proved rather tricky with the gale-force winds that were present! Jules and Gregg and their entire wedding party were all wonderful and, despite the chilly weather, all braced themselves for the outside photos – hair sticking to lipstick and the veil almost taking off definitely proved for some laughter! It really was such a joy to be part of the new Mr & Mrs Stanley’s big day, thanks Jules and Gregg!”

A Pretty Countryside Barn Wedding

A Pretty Countryside Barn Wedding ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

WWW readers Sophie and Alex married in March on Sophie’s birthday at Wick Farm, Bath. They wanted their wedding to have a country feel whilst using floriography to name their wedding tables… perfect.

They got creative, making much of the super pretty decor themselves. With homemade bunting, cake topper and lovely place settings. The gorgeous blooms have to be one of my favourite aspects of their day, with a natural wild feel in an array of pink and white tones.

Sophie looks beautiful in a bargain of a dress, and i am coveting her romantic hair style. Alex wore a navy suit with daffodil buttonhole, they looked brilliant.

Thanks so much to the wonderful Kat Hill for sharing her photographs with us today.

A Homemade Seaside Wedding

A Homemade Seaside Wedding ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Kieron and Laura were married in Feburary at the seaside location of Falmouth at St Michaels Hotel. They wasnted a homemade feel to their day, with a nautical theme and a big party.

Laura looked beautiful in a Charlotte Balbier creation, with her hair in a natural updo with a lovely birdcage viel. Kieron opted for a Moss Bros suit with blue accessories to match the pretty bridesmaids.

I so love the quirky touches to their day, the windmills in the flower arrangements, the cute wooden boats, the bucket and space sweetie bar and those vibrant yellow bouquets.

Thanks so much to the brilliant Elizabeth Armitage Photography for sharing her images with us today, here is what she had to say about the day;

“For a February wedding, Laura and Kieron’s wedding was extra warm and welcoming with all the extra special touches they had created and also the love felt between the two of them. Crafted with care, I think most of the family had gotten involved with some aspect or another of the wedding decorations. I was delighted when they asked me to photograph their wedding as I knew it would have all those quirky personal touches that make a wedding so fun to photograph. But not only that, they were are an incredible couple who I knew I would get on with immediately. Also, they threw a fantastic wedding party so it was a pleasure to be part of their day.”

A Crafty Coral Woodland Wedding

A Crafty Coral Woodland Wedding ~ UK Wedding Blog ~ Whimsical Wonderland Weddings

Marc and Gemma tied the knot in February at Sandburn Hall, York. They wanted a woodland feel to their day, bringing the outdoors indoors due to their woodland walk proposal.

Gemma fell for a gorgeous flowing Enzoani dress and had the most beautiful plaited rustic up do. Marc went for a T.M. Lewin grey suit with his groomsmen in coordinating attire. I love the coral colour scheme, those Monsoon bridesmaids dresses look fabulous on the girls.

They also got crafty, with Gemma’s mum arranging the silk flowers and creating the cake. They had log centrepieces, luggage tag stationery and a fun drinking game they devised. Amazing.

Thanks so much to the brilliant Vanessa Adams for sharing her photography with us today.
