Lovely future brides and grooms, there’s no need to live in fear of predictions of rain on your wedding day. Ailidh and Pedro’s intimate and spectacular elopement photographs in the Scottish Highlands will prove to you that foggy clouds and pouring rain can look gorgeous. These two lovebirds wanted to exchange their vows in the wild and rugged outdoors and settled on a spot in Glencoe, Scotland after it left an impression on them during a previous visit. The two of them shared such a romantic and unique celebration on the 7th of December 2016 and really let their backdrop, Mother Nature, be the shining star of the show.
Ailidh looked absolutely beautiful in a beaded tulle gown and an ornate headband complete with a trailing white ribbon. Pedro wore a dashing black suit that was tailored especially for him by his uncle, along with a white shirt and a black tie. I adore the photos of them with their handwritten love notes and the ensuing happy tears and laughter. Overwhelming emotions and pure tenderness pour through these images and I think it may just tempt you to elope too…
Thank you so very much, The Ferros, for these captivating images.
THE VISION | A very intimate moment surrounded only by the wildest nature.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | They have chosen the location in a very instinctive way, Ailidh and Pedro wanted something very special and unique so they went for a place they always had in their heart and always wanted to come back to as soon as possible (they been there years ago for a trip with friends.)
THE VENUE | Glencoe, Scotland, UK.
THE DRESS & ACCESSORIES | Anne Priscilla Bridal.
FINDING THE DRESS | Ailidh has very minimalistic tastes, she loves simplicity both when it’s about fashion, as well as decoration. So the choice of her dress was quite quick, she knew she found her dress as soon as she saw it in the atelier from the shopping window.
GROOM’S ATTIRE | Pedro’s suit was done by his uncle who is a tailor. He was so proud and affectionate to his suit that he couldn’t wait for Ailidh to see it on that day!
THE READINGS & MUSIC | Ailidh and Pedro read each other their eternal love vows while in the background, the sweetest music ever was playing: the rain, which it was pouring down so heavy.
Ailidh’s words: “It’s good to have a general idea of the mood for your elopement, but don’t stick to it too much, let the river flow and everything will find its right place.”

Thank you, Ailidh and Pedro, for letting us share in your magical day. It was so, so stunning and I think you may just have other couples crossing their fingers for a downpour (even if it’s just for a few minutes) so they too can share a dance in the rain.
This will be my final article for Whimsical Wonderland Weddings.
