We’re all about love stories here at Whimsical Wonderland Weddings and today’s couple and their adorable family totally stole our heart. Sometimes wedding planning has little interruptions, and in this couple’s case, two little twins arrived. It meant the planning was on hold for a few months, but it certainly made for a family filled, loving day with their sweet sons. Their cute portraits by WWW fave Jess Yarwood Photography with their parents will really melt your heart. Not to mention their stylish entrance into the ceremony, hello fun wagon.
Rebecca and Richard were married on the 27th May 2017 at the Success Factory AKA Harthill Weddings in Cheshire. Their vision of a big outdoors wedding was certainly achieved and by the looks of it, fun was had by all. A traditional modern affair by day and a rustic Caribbean feel by night. Think steel band, exotic cocktail bar and a Jamaican hot buffet. Plus a DJ, caricature artist and chocolate fountain entertained guests, as did the dirty dancing lift by the newly-weds…. It has to be done doesn’t it?
Tweed all round for the boys, long pale pink dresses for the girls and sweet bow ties and braces for the children. Gorgeous! Talking of gorgeous, didn’t Rebecca look SO elegant in her Pronovias gown and long veil? Oh my. Huge thanks goes to Jess for providing these immense images.
THE PROPOSAL | Richard asked Rebecca to marry him on the June 27th 2015 on Cala d’hort beach.
THE VISION | We envisioned a big, outdoors wedding with all of our friends and family. We wanted a traditional modern themed day do with a more relaxed rustic, Caribbean theme evening do. We decided to have our day do inside the Barn and hire a marquee on the lawn for the evening with bell tents for our guests to stay over.
THE PLANNING PROCESS | At the beginning of planning the wedding it was fun and exciting. Richard and Rebecca enjoyed visiting wedding shows and collecting wedding decor to craft all the personal touches. Five months into wedding planning Rebecca found out she was pregnant with twin boys. Wedding planning was put on hold, which resulted in a hectic few months before the wedding. Rebecca’s dad helped Rebecca and Richard with their wedding vision and hand crafted many of their personal touches. The donut wall being one of their favourite.

Evening guests started to arrive at 6pm, to begin there was a relaxed Caribbean theme, there was a steel band, exotic cocktail bar and a Jamaican hot buffet.
From 8pm the wedding became livelier, there was a DJ, caricature artist a chocolate fountain and the evening was full of laughter. Their first dance included a last minute decision to attempt the dirty dancing lift.
