Mio and Gordon opted for a humanist outdoor wedding ceremony at Huntstile Organic Farm, Somerset. They had the most beautiful scenery as their backdrop and a tractor to transport guests… amazing!
They kept their decor fresh and modern, with beautiful illustrated stationery, wild blooms and pom poms. I am head over heels for Mio’s stunning blush bouquet.
Mio looked every inch the stylish bride in her flowing Amanda Wakeley dress and natural hair style, while Gordon donned his Kilt. Gorgeous.
Thanks so much to Lisa & Scott of Lisa Dawn Photography for sharing their lovely images with us today.
The Venue… Huntstile Organic Farm, Goathurst, Somerset. We wanted a venue that was relaxed, family friendly and something out of the ordinary.
The Dress & Accessories… My dress was by Amanda Wakeley, (sposa- bridal range) I purchased it from ebay. I loved the Eastern Influence of Amanda Wakeley’s beautiful dresses.
Groom’s Attire… Gordon’s own kilt
The Flowers… Green and gorgeous, http://www.
The Details & Decor… We decorated the Marquee, where we had our reception with DIY project-large paper flowers, an Idea taken from the blog ‘Honestly WTF’. Flowers for the tables were a combination of a local florist and a selection from Waitrose. Candles were from John Lewis. We didn’t have any favours, but we gave each of the children and pregnant ladies a small gift. I painted our table plan myself (Mio) and the place cards.
Your Photographer… Great photos. I saw Lisa and Scott’s work on the Huntstile Organic Farm website and loved their shots.
Memorable Moments… Doing our vows; our humanist celebrant (Kevin) was brilliant. http://humanist.org.
